This happened on United Flight 1161 from Fort Lauderdale to Newark a couple of days ago. This lady asked this guy if he could stop talking so loudly. He was speaking to someone on his phone and had them on speakerphone. This was prior to takeoff. As you can see he didn’t like that and starts to cuss at her and hurl insults at her making fun of her weight all the while remaining loud where the passengers around him could hear everything. She kept her cool and controlled herself. The crew was notified and they moved her to an upgraded seat. Some said she should have never addressed another passenger onboard. If there is an issue, ring the call button immediately and alert a flight attendant to avoid escalation. There is so much wrong with all this. One, it is never okay to be talking on the phone on a plane surrounded by people. That’s just rude. Have some common sense. Two, not one man around her said anything? Didn’t stick up for her or the rest of the people on the flight having to listen to this? Three, there is a kid right there listening to all this. And finally, United offered just to move her? They should’ve kicked him off. He’s acting aggressive towards another passenger before takeoff over a minor thing. What happens if it continues with other passengers once they’re in the air? Proves he cannot control his emotions so that makes everyone unsafe, especially in the air. 💯 Do better United! IMHO. What is your take? Was she to blame for asking him to be more quiet? Or, was he out of control? Do you think moving her was enough or should they have removed him from the flight?

This is the man who helped subdue the passenger who was trying to open the emergency exit door on Frontier Airlines flight 3345. His name is Josh Longood, an Ohio native, a true hero who saved the day and helped take control of the situation. Josh was on a flight home to Chicago from his brother's bachelor's party in Puerto Rico when another passenger allegedly assaulted a flight attendant who attempted to pick up his bag and then attempted to open an emergency exit door on the Frontier flight. Longood was in the right place at the right time. He's a former professional MMA fighter and a current competitive BJJ black belt. He said he is lucky he is a light sleeper and was only a row of seats away when everything went down. Longwood said he restrained the man once for about 10 minutes and then a second time when the man slipped his restraints. He controlled him for another 20-30 minutes until the airplane made an emergency landing in Miami. You can see the authorities waiting for the plane to arrive and escorting the man off the plane. Apparently he was drunk. Thankful for people like Josh. We need more in this world like him. If you are trained in martial arts, have you ever had to use your training to save yourself or someone else?

Icelandair pilot under investigation after flying at a low altitude over the town of Vestmannaeyjar on Saturday. The Boeing 757 was on a scheduled flight from Frankfurt when the pilot on his last flight went on a sightseeing flight over his childhood home in the Westman Islands without the knowledge or permission of the company. Chief Flight Officer at Icelandair Linda Gunnarsdóttir said in a statement, "This is just a very serious matter that we will look into here internally. It's just the case in aviation that everything is very rigid in work processes, checklists and other things like that, what we do in normal passenger flights, and it doesn't fall within that framework." Linda says she expects passengers to have been informed about the sightseeing flight, but she cannot say that yet. She is also unable to comment at this time on the consequences for the pilot, who is leaving the company. The matter is, as previously stated, under consideration by the company.

That’s why he’s saying “y’all stagnant after the show” and all of that. YOU were not speaking at the moment and YOU were not on the show. You missed a lot w your phone calls and came back just responding to the flight part and then it goes from there. I’m assuming because you may have only came back on the “booking a flight” part that you may have assumed he was still talking to you because you’re a flight attendant which is understandable but we were way past the part in the conversation you heard last. That’s why we were letting you know that it was not for you.

Asked him today about how he handled not making Australia's Olympics roster and what he learned from it: "Well, I handled it by getting on a flight and sitting there for 15 hours just thinking about it. What do you learn from it? I guess that, like, nothing's guaranteed.
