In this regard, I would also like to state that our support for the Crimean Tatars, who represent an exceptional historical and cultural bridge between Ukraine and Türkiye, will continue. We also discussed security guarantees and Finland’s potential contribution, the future security architecture of Europe, our European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Today, our ministers are signing a document to launch the Civil Protection Shelter Coalition. As long as Putin continues attacking our infrastructure, we must do everything to protect our people, and we are grateful to Finland for this initiative. We also spoke about diplomatic efforts to end the war and achieve a real and lasting peace. Today, we have a new support package for Ukraine, and the most important element of it is the Swedish Gripen fighter jets, which will strengthen our air force. Overall, this year, next year, and our future cooperation are all about building Ukraine’s fleet of Swedish Gripens. This will help us guarantee the security of Ukraine and Ukrainians. Today, the Ulf Kristersson and I also discussed the details of our cooperation across all other areas. I briefed him on the situation in Ukraine – on the battlefield and in our defense against Russian strikes. We need our own European antiballistic capabilities in sufficient quantity and with sufficient strength. We will work on this, including within the NB8 format – one of our most effective formats, bringing together Ukraine, the Nordic countries, and the Baltic states. I am also grateful to Sweden for all the sanctions steps – everything that limits Russia’s capacity for aggression.

I thank Poland for its support for Ukraine – both now, as we defend ourselves against the Russian invasion, and throughout all the years since our independence was restored. I briefed him on the situation in our country – in the energy sector and in recovery. We discussed cooperation in this area, and there are things that can strengthen both of our countries. In particular, this concerns the development of our energy networks in Ukraine and in Poland. Another part of our conversation focused on joint defense programs. We count on Poland’s continued participation in the PURL initiative, which enables Ukraine to purchase American weapons. We also expect Ukraine to become a full participant in the SAFE instrument. We are preparing to co-produce drones and other weapons. We also addressed the diplomatic efforts underway to end the war. I updated Donald on the work of Ukraine’s negotiating team. A separate point was the importance of maintaining pressure on Russia. We must bring this war to a real end – with reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and for our entire region. The Netherlands is one of the most principled defenders of life – a nation that truly supports our defense, our resilience, and, importantly, our work to achieve justice. The Netherlands is one of the most principled defenders of life – a nation that truly supports our defense, our resilience, and, importantly, our work to achieve justice. Today, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten, Mr. Schoof, is in Ukraine, and I am grateful for the consistent attention and support for Ukraine. We discussed many pressing issues. Above all, our focus was on Ukraine’s defense and military projects, pressure on the Russian Federation and ensuring accountability for its crimes, political cooperation, and support for our people in energy challenges. Together, we met in Dublin with President of Ireland Catherine Connolly. We are here on an official visit today. Among the main issues, we discussed the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, two Irish universities joining the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, Ukraine’s accession to the EU, and the steps and decisions to help accelerate this process. We also discussed cooperation on ensuring global food security, the rehabilitation and social reintegration of Ukrainian warriors, and the construction of shelters in our schools. I thank Ireland for its support, and for the financial and humanitarian assistance it has provided since the start of Russia’s full-scale war. For all types of support to our people.
