🇺🇦 Zelensky: “Russia’s tactic now is to wear down Ukraine and Ukrainians” The Ukrainian president said that over the past four days, Russia launched nearly 1,500 drones, around 800 of them jet-powered. Destroying those drones is currently the most difficult task. The good news: Yevhen Khmara said that Ukraine has already tested four interceptor systems capable of shooting down jet-powered Shahed drones. The next task is to scale up production. Russia’s Defense Ministry said today that Ukraine should prepare for new devastating strikes — the occupiers are escalating.

Our new interceptor is already taking down jet-powered Shaheds over Kyiv. Two Geran-5s down in its first week. Our team, together with Pavlo Yelizarov, our military, and engineers, built this new interceptor drone. Combat testing was carried out by crews from Lasar’s Group. From concept to confirmed intercepts: just 1 month. Next step: full autonomy, scaling, and a pipeline of new defense-tech products to protect Ukrainian cities.

🔥 Ukraine shoots down Russian “Geran-3” drones with a new interceptor — first footage The debut of the Ukrainian-made Sting drone proved to be highly successful. On November 30, the Stings destroyed several Russian jet-powered “Geran-3” drones. These drones are faster than the regular “Geran” models and more maneuverable, designed to break through air defenses. Russia has been using “Geran-3” in strike packages since the summer of 2025. Now Ukraine has a tool capable of disrupting this tactic.

For the first time, footage has been released showing the successful combat use of Ukrainian jet-powered interceptor drones against Russia’s jet-powered drone. The interceptors themselves are jet-powered and feature a delta-wing configuration. The footage shows a series of ground launches followed by the interception of a Russian Geran-5 jet-powered kamikaze drone. The Geran-5 has a reported cruising speed of around 450–600 km/h

Ukraine’s first jet-powered interceptor drones are undergoing combat testing as Russia gradually replaces conventional Shaheds with faster jet-powered variants, former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov says. Several Ukrainian manufacturers have developed solutions. One interceptor uses a jet engine to reach more than 600 km/h and is now being tested in combat conditions, with Ukraine awaiting its first confirmed interceptions. #Ukraine

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Zelensky has stated that over the last 4 days Russia has launched roughly 1,500 Geran drones into Ukraine with over 800 being Geran-4/5 variants (which are jet powered). He stated that interceptions of Russian jet powered drones are minimal because of the increased speed and altitude of the drones. Ukraine relies heavily on anti-air gunners and interceptor drones to shoot down Russian Gerans. In previous years, the Russian Geran-2 drones (which were most prominent) were low flying and had a slow cruising speed. This made shooting them down with cheaper means easier. However, these new Russian jet powered Gerans fly too high and fast to be intercepted by anti-air gunners and interceptor drones. This forces Ukraine to have to utilize missile interceptors or fighter jets leading to more successful impacts. Eventually Ukraine will find a solution, but until they do Russia will keep hammering major cities across the country for months to come. For Ukraine's sake, I hope they find a solution before winter.

A Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 has shot down a Russian Geran-3 jet-powered attack and reconnaissance drone, according to newly released footage. The Geran-3 is a faster, jet-powered evolution of the Iranian-designed Shahed family that Russia has long used in attacks on Ukrainian civilians. The interception removes another Russian threat from Ukraine's skies. 📹ZSU Dvizh

Ukraine’s Horizon Group air-defense crews of the 81st Airmobile Brigade destroyed three jet-powered Shahed drones. The unit says these faster variants now make up to 20% of the Shaheds used in attacks and can reach their targets up to four times faster than conventional models. The brigade says the growing use of jet-powered drones is creating new challenges for Ukrainian air defenses. #Ukraine

🇺🇦🚀 Ukraine has added Alexa Spatium to its arsenal, the country’s first domestically developed jet-powered interceptor drone designed specifically to counter Russia’s increasingly fast jet-powered attack UAVs. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense says Alexa Spatium’s primary targets are Russian Geran-3, Geran-4 and Geran-5 attack drones, as well as Shahed-131s. The high-speed platform can also engage reconnaissance UAVs, helicopters and other aerial targets. Beyond its interceptor role, the system was designed with the capability to engage selected ground and surface targets, giving it considerably greater mission flexibility than a dedicated anti-drone interceptor. Alexa Spatium represents another step in Ukraine’s rapidly evolving layered air-defense architecture. As Russia introduces faster jet-powered attack drones, Ukraine is responding with faster and more specialized interceptors rather than relying exclusively on scarce and expensive conventional surface-to-air missiles. That cost-effective approach could become increasingly important as both sides continue adapting their unmanned systems to defeat the other’s defenses.

A very interesting turn of events in the air war. Russian Geran jet drones have dramatically increased their speed, rendering previous interception systems ineffective. Former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt and the Ukrainian military are now openly admitting that there is no ready-made solution to reliably close off Ukraine’s airspace. NATO’s air defence systems in Ukraine are operating continuously but are unable to cope with Russia’s new jet-powered drones. Kyiv’s allies are speaking ever more loudly about the catastrophic state of affairs. NATO simply has no defence against the Geran and that is by no means the only problem Kyiv is facing. #russia #ukraine #drone #drones #kyiv #geran

Two Ukrainian companies successfully completed combat tests of interceptor systems, destroying a high-speed Russian Shahed, Zelensky said. He said 67 companies are working on interceptors for high-speed and jet-powered Russian drones, with contracts already being signed. Ukraine now wants to accelerate development and move toward mass production, but Zelensky said additional funding is needed and that proposals are being prepared with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. #Ukraine

🇷🇺 RUSSIA JUST CHANGED THE DRONE GAME Russia is reportedly rolling out new jet powered Geran drones after older piston powered variants struggled against interceptor drones. The new Gerans can reportedly reach around 600 km/h, making them much harder for slower interceptor drones to catch. Reports claim Russia is now producing around 3,000 Geran 4/5 drones per month, with much of the supply chain increasingly localized. Meanwhile, the U.S. is also rapidly expanding small attack drone production, but the current scale remains in a different league. The drone production race is accelerating fast.
