Umpire Alan Porter initially failed to recognize a Pirates challenge request. When pitching coach, Bill Murphy, complained, Porter pointed at Murphy, shouted, "get the fuck out of here", and ejected him. The next pitch, manager Don Kelly complained about a check swing call and Porter ejected him, too.

A player gets ejected and when the umpire and manager have words about it, the ejected player goes to his dugout, picks up a garbage can, brings it all the way behind home plate, leaves it there. When he walks off, he points out to the umpire and says “that’s you back there” Legendary ejection.

The umpire getting this mad at Rob Thomson is flat out embarrassing and unprofessional. Rob was well within his rights to yell at him. To make things worse, the umpire gets to just continue doing a horrible job while Thomson gets ejected and fined.

This 96 mph high and inside pitch by Cubs pitcher Ben Brown almost beans Pittsburgh Pirates batter Konnor Griffin. Griffin thinks and acts like it hit him and starts to trot down to first. The home plate umpire rules that the batter was not hit by the pitch. The replay booth checks it out and rules with the umpire- the batter was not hit. Pirates manager Don Kelly came out to argue and was ejected. The announcer says Griffin isn’t just going to drop his bat and run to first. Uhm, yes, players have been known to fake getting hit. After replay, to be honest, I cannot tell if he got hit. Replay has to be conclusive to overturn it. What do you think? Do your eyes see the ball hit the bill of the helmet? Was he hit or not? Did replay get it right or wrong?

This umpire called a ball that the defensive team thought was a strike. The coach called a timeout after the walk and gathered his infield on the mound. On the next pitch, the catcher slid to the right out of the way of the ball making no attempt to catch it and let it drill the umpire right in the mask. Umpires are fallible human beings. Bad call? Maybe it was. But intentionally letting the ball hit him is poor sportsmanship, dangerous and has no place in the game. The coach, pitcher and catcher should all be ejected from the game. Heck, I might just call the game if I was the umpire and if that is what you are teaching your players, maybe that coach should never be allowed to coach again. What would you do if you were the umpire? How about if it was your child pitching or catching? And what are you saying to the coach if he was the coach of your team?

Umpire Doug Eddings went on a power trip during the bottom of the 6th in the Cardinals Rockies game. First, he demanded that pitcher Hancel Rincon (in his MLB debut) straighten his hat since no one will wear a hat like that on "his field". When manager Oli Marmol went to talk to Eddings about the hat incident during a pitching change, Eddings gave the Cardinals a pitch clock violation and ejected Marmol. A couple batters later, with the Cardinals out of challenges, Eddings made a terrible call on a play at the plate to gift the Rockies the lead.

Moment between a man and his wife where he stopped him from going to work and complained about how gentle he is and she really wants to see his reaction, he should act like a man. She complained about him being too soft and then this happened. I wasn’t expecting that at the end! 👀

This umpire gave this kid and his team two warnings for throwing the bat at the catcher. He told them if it happened again they were going to get ejected from the game. Well….it happened again. The batter hit the ball back to the pitcher and the pitcher overthrew first base. But, the umpire called a dead ball and called the batter out and ejected him from the game. The coach came out to argue and said the batter didn’t throw the bat, that it was a regular follow through on the back swing. He told the umpire they had it on film. The umpire said he had it on film too. Then the third base coach came down to argue and the umpire told the coach he was wrong and that he had it on video. You can hear the parents screaming at him. Some people said that was a terrible call and he let go legally on the follow through. You can also hear them tell the umpire that he had it out for that kid. 🤯 But a lot of people sided with the ump and said he handled it well and with that many warnings that it was a fantastic call. 💯 The umpire gave the same kid two prior warnings. Even if it wasn’t intentional, there has to be consequences after a third time. He could seriously injure the catcher. This will help the batter in the future hopefully. What do you think? Was this the right or wrong call?
