Umpire calls timeout then acts like he didn't call timeout, a breakdown

Having an ump blatantly lie like that is concerning. How can you trust them to make fair calls if they can't admit when they themselves make a mistake? League should take a look at it for sure.

The easiest fix would’ve just been the home plate ump saying he called time and re-pitched with the count 3-2, but instead we get 2 people ejected 🤦‍♂️

But my question is, are the umps quadruplets? They’re all identical

MLB umps are an embarrassment

I don’t have a dog in the fight besides wanting to see it done correctly. If the hitters and pitchers have to adjust so do the umps. He should have just admitted what he did and actually tried to figure the situation out instead of having the crew chief go on a power trip.

Time to hold umpires accountable...of it's proven after the game they need to be suspended for a game or so

They weren't even arguing the most important thing. It should've been strike 3 already. Batter wasn't ready.

Why are they arguing the timeout and not the violation on the batter?
