@TalkinBaseball_ At that point it gotta be ump discretion. Valdez is clearly injured and trying to signal for time, but only has one working arm for that situation.

Honoring the Memory of Steven Sotloff, of Blessed Memory Today, we remember Steven Sotloff, a courageous Jewish journalist whose life was tragically taken by ISIS a decade ago. His bravery and dedication to truth continue to inspire us. The greatest tribute we can offer is to ensure that terrorist groups like ISIS, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and their ilk are eradicated. Our mission is clear: to make this world safer for all—except those who seek to destroy it through terror. Who stands with us in this fight?

Jose Ramirez should’ve worn one in the ear hole every at bat the next game

What's craziest is I think this happened two other times this season for the guardians. Once the White Sox should have tied the game guy pulled a hammy around third and the other was a pick off at first base I think. Weird.

Such a punk move by Jose…

Little leaguers know not to leave the base, even when they're hurt.

silly, you can’t call time out while you’re off the base, and you can’t grant a time out retroactive to when you were last on base

I see no problem here. Play till you hear the whistle comes to mind.

Literally all he had to do was just lay there with his hand on the base, like he was doing. You can’t be granted time when you’re off the base, which is what he didn’t call time with his hand up. No ump is going to grant time to a runner off the bag, heads up play by 3rd baseman.

Down 3-0 in the 9th inning... why go for 3rd? A double is as good as a triple in this situation.
