Today, the Liberals voted against our Conservative opposition motion calling for a tariff-free Canada–U.S. auto pact. Shrimping is more than an industry in the Lowcountry. It is our heritage and our way of life. We secured an amendment in the House-passed Farm Bill to establish a new Office of Seafood at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This gives our shrimpers and fishermen a permanent voice in federal policy. The farmers of the sea finally get the seat they deserve.

The US announced that the tax on China has been increased from 125 percent to 145 percent. Turn up the volume to listen to the program where I evaluated the issue.
