You’re either retarded or ignorant lol Do unto others means treat people with dignity and respect so that they can respond in kind. People confuse this with being nice. No one is obligated to reciprocate your kindness but if you dont treat people with respect you can definitely expect to be disrespected in return.

My toxic version of this was thinking that anyone who doesn't also treat me how I treat them is somehow beneath me. But, that implies that I am the moral authority on how to treat people...when really, I should have been more authoritative about how I ALLOW people to treat me.
