I’ve saved this clip from 2024. Maybe you’re a parent that needs to hear it now and maybe you’re a parent that needs to bookmark it for later to come back to. Either way if you have watched your child sacrifice the norms to not be of the norm and watched them fall short you can relate. For those that aren’t at this level yet- remember every match/game/point is big to them in moment and I think we minimize that thinking we are helping them when in reality we are protecting our own self from the hurt we feel when our child is hurting. Struggle and failure are life’s biggest teaching tools. They are also some of the most painful to go through, but more so to watch someone you love go through. I hope this helps some parents- now or in the future or even those parents of kids at the younger ages. Hopefully you focus on building healthy relationships with your kids over their win loss record. Hopefully you are praising them not only in their successes, but also in their failures of trying so they continue to just that- try.

On a fraction of the budget, our own independent rape gang inquiry has motored on - with our hearings scheduled for February. But let me be clear. I want the national inquiry to succeed. It always blows my mind when NATO sits there and says that they don’t need the United States but somehow need answers as to why we’re pulling our US soldiers out of these NATO countries. Out of their own mouths they’ve claimed that they don’t need us and the only reason why they don’t need us is because they don’t agree with the president that’s holding their feet to the fire. NATO failed the ultimate loyalty test so why are we going to continue to pay one-sided loyalty fees for people that will not show up for us when we ask them to. It’s not like we actually needed them because we’ve been handling this on our own without the support of NATO, but they’ve made it that much easier to prove that we don’t need them to fight our own battles and they clearly need us to fight theirs. Maybe if you weren’t an IRGC sympathizer and opened up your country to a bunch of fucking terrorists you’d actually be able to have a back bone in a spine to stand up for your people but as we’ve seen in Great Britain, should you offend someone on the Internet you throw them in jail, but not these motherfuckers that are raping your children, and women in the streets. So I think it’s about time you guys start fighting your own battles and funding your own NATO budget or if you want us to be a part of NATO we pay what the average is for the rest of your countries instead of 5% GDP. Maybe y’all will finally start acting like you have some loyalty to the people who helped you win your wars.

Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would be called into special session over Memorial Day weekend and have to argue that military members and their spouses deserve to have their votes counted after they already cast their ballots. But here we are. South Carolina is trying to rush through new congressional maps while the election process is already underway. Military and overseas voters followed the rules. They requested their ballots. They voted. They sent them back. Now, because politicians want to change the maps at the last minute, those voters could have their ballots thrown out through no fault of their own. That is unacceptable. I have an amendment that says if the congressional primaries are moved to August, those military and overseas voters should automatically receive a new ballot for the new primary. That should not be controversial. But apparently, some folks are fighting me on it. Some days it feels like I am living in the upside down. It is Memorial Day weekend, and I am having to fight to protect the voting rights of the very people serving our country. If we say we support our veterans, our military members, and their families, then we should start by making sure their votes count. Standing strong. Holding the line.

But Sonya also understands the context of everything. I feel like everything depends on our opportunities and our timing too. Sometimes something might not happen today, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. Because these days, we’re working really hard, and we really enjoy getting to meet so many fans. I knew there was something creepy about that Butere Girls play. Cleophas Malala scripted it? That’s a truckload of rubbish. Please let the children be. Let them exploit their own creative imperative without any goading by boomers or the very elders who created the despots we have today. Richard Heart is doing a new "Sacrifice phase" for yet another project called "MrProve". In 2021, I made this video showing how RH sneakily acquired 90+% of the PulseChain token supply during the very last moments of its sacrifice. 👉 HE WILL DO THIS AGAIN. 👈 To back this up, just a week ago, Richard laundered hundreds of millions of dollars worth of ETH from his last sacrifice phase (PulseChain & PulseX) through Tornado Cash, thereby anonymizing the funds. How do we help learners find a pathway to success that is meaningful to them? Too often, “success” is determined by others for our students, but everyone reading this right now could consider themselves successful, but have very different measures on what that means to them. If I don’t have a say on what success looks like to me, why would I care about getting to someone else’s destination? This is something I have been thinking about a lot since I was the opening keynote at #NAGC23 this past week, and how I emphasized the importance of focusing on bringing out the gifts in EVERY learner we serve, including our adults. We can’t bring out the best in our students if we only focus on the deficits of what we do as adults in education. It is imperative that we don’t just “value” people but that people feel valued. There is a difference in those two ideas. Here is a question I have really been focused on over the last few years; Do our students walk out of school all good at the same thing, or do they all walk out knowing they are good at something? Not everything that is important to bring out the gifts in our students can be easily measured, but not all things that matter can fit into nice and neat metrics. Helping learners find their own gifts within education ensures that they are more likely to find that pathway to success that matters most to them. NAGC

This is the discrimination we face daily as women athletes in competitive games. I have been playing CS since 2005. Some ask me: “But you have played for so long, you must have a thick skin to all this toxicity by now?” And normally I answer: “Yes, I do”. But I don’t want to have a thick skin to play a game I love, where I want to develop as a professional and break new barriers. I don’t want to show strength and ignore, or fight back every time I am being harassed for my gender. I don’t want to feel like I don’t belong or that I am worse “by default”. And I WILL talk about this constantly until it’s changed for the better. This video is just another of many examples. Two premades who started the game with “why do I have 2 women on my team” and were sexist to Zana 🌻 and me the whole game. Yet we tried to close our eyes to it and just did everything to win the game. When the game was won, we got a message “ez carry”. When things go wrong, stop blaming others, but focus on yourself and your own mistakes instead. And let us play!
