this is awesome!

This is fantastic, I think my clients will love this feature.

holy fucking shipping man

@grok explain non technicals what this is and why is important if running a shop

Amazing 👏 are you going to track stats of how it’s been used? Would you share some of them publicly?

@Shopify I would like to report a seller using your platform for what appears to be a scam operation. My order was shipped with false customs declarations, fake low invoice values, and inconsistent sender/export information, resulting in customs hold and delivery issues

For agents, checkout is the hard part: identity, catalog, cart state, payment risk. UCP matters if merchants can accept intent without rebuilding the store.

ucp should expose inventory confidence, agents will otherwise build carts users cannot buy

@Shopify guess tracking agent traffic intelligence for merchants makes more sense now..try tactical on #shopify

Wow

This is the exact shift we’ve been building toward with Eventabee. AI commerce won’t just be about agents checking out. Merchants will need to know whether their catalog is agent-readable, and whether AI discovery actually turned into revenue.

Big step for agentic commerce. The protocol gives agents the road. But brands still need the journey itself to be reliable - product data, variant logic, promo rules, fulfillment constraints, returns, and checkout behavior all need to make sense to an external agent.

Merci

You should protect your Shopify Store with ShieldScan

Universal Commerce Protocol is a big deal. If your product data is not structured for agentic discovery right now, you are already behind. This is the new SEO and most brands have not started.

@Shopify This store Buy auto kitty is a scam. I tried to file a report but @shopify won't allow unless it's 30 days. That bullshit. Take this store down. They are scamming people left and right.

@Shopify This is something many Shopify stores miss. Rising refunds aren’t always a broad customer problem — sometimes it’s one product, one SKU, or one offer quietly leaking revenue. I broke down how to spot it here:

agentic checkout needs a very crisp consent line: search is fine, cart building is fine, but what exact artifact does the user approve before purchase: merchant, SKU, price, shipping, return policy, or all of it?

Automation is what separates struggling store owners from 7-figure brands. Keeping your backend organized saves thousands of dollars in hidden leaks. 🧠🚀

perfect video going through this change!

I was just looking into this! Does this actually help with managing order tracking efficiently, or is it better to use a centralized system like Notion for the backend?

This is major news, We’re living through the rise of transactions taking place through ai platforms - where conversational intent has already been formed. And this is what we’re building for at we want ai platforms to be accessible to all merchants. Optimising their brands visibility throughout various ai platforms. Check us out 👇

Finally! No more building everything from scratch for AI commerce agents 😂 This + Shopify’s catalog is going to be powerful. Excited to play with the new UCP skill.

Big shift. Once agents can search, cart, and check out, merchant visibility stops being just SEO. The next layer is diagnosis: which attribute, review, policy, or inventory signal made the agent choose one result over another? Agent-readable is step 1. Inspectable is step 2.
