Even with fixed camera, it still needs some work on the foot slide. But, i think that is expected, integrate the power of smpl in UE might be a complex task, that hopefully soon they'll tackle it. I would say its a pretty good start 🎉

Yeah hopefully Meshcapade team can push this to its limits with Epic in time!

Gotta say, I love to see motion actor footage on the tests. 😍

Only way to make good comparison!

Is that QuickMagic 2.0 tho? I find their v2.0 model to be so much better at walking :)

yeah I actually used 2.0 in every example here since it was recommended, first time trying it as well

Oh interesting! It’s so hard to get natural looking walking. I usually end up going to cascadeur - seems like the only way for me to make it look natural. Or the Autodesk flow results are v good too

Yeah changing positions always messes up in these video mocap solutions that's why I wanted to break it to see what happens haha - Cascadeur is absolutely the way to go especially with the new UE live link updates I'll get into that next!

The MH problem is not the capture but the MH horrible body weighing rigg. Can you test the Unreal with that rouged character?

It's processing through the Metahuman Performance so I thought it would be optimized for that🤔 I can test it with anything absolutely if you can clarify what character is that?

Just forget what I said, I was watching on my phone. You actually use the MH on the Quick Magic right?

yeah its using the UE 5.6 export option then just retargeted to the Metahuman 👍

Interesting test. I tried running the same video through AIMoCap @animatex_ and got this result.

would love for you to compare it with @Uthana_Inc. The foot contact is much improved. And then you can get it onto any rig
