REMEMBER THE WOMAN WHO BROKE DOWN IN TEARS AT THE COURT PREMISES OVER HER DISPATCH RIDER HUSBAND'S CASE, AND THE LAWYER WHO DECIDED TO TAKE UP THE MATTER FOR FREE? Here is an update on the case. The 31-year-old dispatch rider, a father of two, has reportedly remained in custody for months after being arrested in connection with a disputed package delivery. According to reports, a package was sent from Ibadan through a driver who was told it contained pampers. However, NDLEA officers intercepted the vehicle and, after a search, allegedly discovered over 6kg of cannabis inside the package. During questioning, the driver reportedly told officers he had been instructed to deliver the package to someone at a designated location. The officers then placed him under surveillance to identify whoever would come to collect it. The dispatch rider was later contacted by a customer and asked to pick up the package from the driver. He was also informed that the package contained pampers. Upon arriving at the agreed location, he was arrested by NDLEA operatives before receiving or taking possession of the package. Further reports indicate that efforts to contact the alleged owner of the package were unsuccessful. The individual initially agreed to send someone to collect it but later became suspicious, switched off his phone, and has remained unreachable ever since. Authorities are reportedly working to trace the phone number and identify the individual involved, but the process has been slowed by technical and financial challenges.

SHE SHOPS IN A BRA Several 911 calls came in late at night reporting a 2024 Land Rover weaving and driving erratically through the streets of Westfield, New Jersey. Concerned drivers told dispatch the SUV was swerving between lanes and struggling to maintain control. Officers began searching the area and soon located the vehicle, pulling it over to investigate. Behind the wheel was Paige Koff, who immediately caught officers’ attention with her unusual behavior. When asked for her registration, Koff calmly told the officer it was “in her refrigerator.” The response instantly raised concerns about her condition. As the conversation continued, officers noticed additional signs of impairment. When Koff stepped out of the Land Rover, the situation became even more bizarre. She was wearing only a bra, oversized mom jeans, and no shoes. Her movements appeared unsteady, and her responses to basic questions were confusing and erratic. Officers attempted to conduct field sobriety tests, but the interaction quickly turned chaotic as her behavior remained unpredictable. During the stop, Koff repeatedly insisted that she was well known around town, as if that might somehow change the outcome of the situation. Officers, however, continued their investigation based on what they were observing. After evaluating the situation and determining she was impaired, police placed Paige Koff under arrest for DWI along with three additional charges. What started as routine 911 calls about reckless driving ended in one of the strangest traffic stops officers in the area had seen in quite some time. Do you think strange behavior like this is clear proof someone shouldn’t be behind the wheel?

Reckless Driver Arrested After Eluding Police Across Redmond; Drone Program Helps Track Vehicle Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the early morning hours of April 23 after noticing it had no license plates. The driver accelerated well above the posted speed limit and failed to stop, ignoring emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle continued through Redmond, running red lights, making dangerous turns, and driving at high speeds. At one point, the driver returned toward an officer, flashing high beams in an apparent attempt to provoke a pursuit, and drove into oncoming traffic. Due to the reckless behavior and risk to the public, officers did not engage in a pursuit. Multiple drones were deployed remotely from docking locations throughout the city by a single Drone as First Responder (DFR) pilot, allowing officers to maintain continuous visual contact with the vehicle as it drove recklessly across Redmond. With assistance from aerial support, officers tracked the vehicle as it continued driving dangerously through the area, including SR-520 and downtown Redmond. Spike strips were successfully deployed, and the vehicle was later located at an apartment complex. Officers conducted a high-risk stop, and the driver was taken into custody without incident. The individual was arrested for eluding a police vehicle and further investigated for DUI. The driver was under the legal drinking age, and an open alcoholic beverage was found inside the vehicle. The individual was also driving with a suspended license. This type of reckless driving puts everyone at risk. Thank you to assisting units for their coordinated response.

Florida DUI Suspect Arrested After Driving Through Active IRONMAN Race Course Jacksonville, Florida — On Saturday, May 16, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers assigned to traffic control during the IRONMAN Jacksonville race observed a vehicle driving into portions of the closed race course designated for runners and bicyclists. The driver ignored officers' attempts to stop the vehicle, prompting members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office DUI and Traffic Units to initiate a pursuit because of the immediate danger posed to participants and bystanders. Dash camera footage released by the agency showed the vehicle repeatedly entering active race lanes and narrowly missing runners and cyclists. Officers reported that Motor Unit Officer Aaron Sanchez attempted to impede the vehicle using his police motorcycle, but the driver continued to flee. As the pursuit moved toward Riverside Park, DUI Officer Ernesto Valerio used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver near the intersection of Riverside Park Place and Park Street to bring the vehicle to a stop. Additional officers then took the driver into custody. No injuries to athletes, spectators, officers, or motorists were reported. The driver was identified by authorities as 62-year-old Darrell Simon. Simon was arrested on eight felony charges in addition to nearly a dozen misdemeanor and traffic-related offenses. Reported felony allegations include aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, and operating a vehicle while his driver's license was revoked. This arrest marked Simon's third DUI-related arrest within the past 10 years.
