An Anambra-based woman has cr!ed out after Nigeria Police Force officers arrested her husband while he was on his way to buy drinks. The officers accused him of being a thi£f and later ext0rted ₦200,000 from him at Flyover Opi Iweke, Onitsha. According to her, a few days ago, her husband went to buy drinks. On his way back, he was stopped by the police and asked to show his documents. After presenting them, the officers complained about the car’s custom color. Before he could explain, they accused him of theft, handcuffed him, and put him in a Hilux. When he insisted they take him to a police station, there was a back-and-forth, and eventually, he transferred ₦200,000 to them. After getting home, the wife started making calls to find out which police division the officers belonged to. She was later told it was Okpoko Police Station. When she and her husband got to the station, the serving DPO responded immediately and ordered all the policemen on duty to come out so her husband could identify the culprits. After every officer came out, the offending ones were nowhere to be seen. The DPO then sent other officers along with the woman and her husband to the exact junction where the incident happened. A 28-year-old businessman in Faridabad died by suicide inside his shop on Sunday after hanging himself. Before taking the extreme step, he posted a video on Instagram in which he accused his wife and her family of mentally harassing him. Police have launched an investigation and are also examining the allegations made in the video. In the Instagram video posted before his death, Rahul accused his wife Jyoti, his mother-in-law Veena, his father-in-law Bittu and his wife's sister Neetu of mentally harassing him. He claimed that despite doing all household chores, including sweeping and washing utensils, he was assaulted, and false cases were filed against him. He said he had been living under constant mental stress. Rahul also said in the video that his wife and her family were responsible for his death and should be punished according to the law. He further said that after his death, his property should go to his mother, sister and brothers. The victim, Rahul, had opened a garment shop around four months ago. According to police, Rahul met his mother at home on Sunday morning before leaving for his shop. A short while later, he hanged himself inside the shop. Police reached the spot after receiving information, took custody of the body and sent it to hospital for post-mortem. According to Rahul's family, he had married a woman named Jyoti in a love marriage around two years ago. They alleged that after the marriage, his wife did not want him to live with his parents, following which he started living separately. They said Rahul had recently opened his new garment shop. A family member, Amit, alleged that Rahul had been under severe mental stress due to harassment by his wife and her family. He claimed that Rahul's wife had also filed a case against him, which added to his stress. The family further alleged that Rahul was not even allowed to meet his parents. Investigating officer Sanjay Kumar said police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating the case. He said the viral social media video has been included in the investigation and that the allegations made in it will be verified during the probe.

She was abducted and tortured by security operatives, the UPDF spokesperson confirmed they had detained her, but released her days later without charge. So why didn't they take her to police or court if she had committed a crime? Why did they release her with torture marks and signs of abuse after holding her in incommunicado detention? Why did police where she went afterwards to report send her away without filing her complaint against the abduction and torture? A Kansas City woman was denied medical care while suffering back-to-back seizures after her husband filed a complaint against Overland Park Regional Hospital One week agoa man named Quae filed a complaint on behalf of his wife, Nisha, at the hospital due to her experiencing seizures. Hours after her discharge, she was found blocks away in a puddle of water on the side of the road, having another seizure. A Good Samaritan discovered her and provided assistance until emergency medical services arrived. Hours later, Quae learned about the incident and reported the hospital. VIDEO: Residents rescue man gagged by wife, sons over pension dispute Residents of Oko-Filling, a serene neighborhood in Araromi, Ijoko, Sango Ota, came to the rescue of a man who had been bound, gagged and left for death by his wife and children following a dispute over his retirement benefits. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday, March 13, at the family’s residence. The conflict began when the man reportedly refused to hand over the entirety of his retirement payout to his wife and four sons. After receiving the money, he used a portion to open two shops for his wife in Abule after giving her N3 million. He also bought a N12 million car for himself while the family already owned a home in the area. However, his wife and sons, who are all university graduates, expressed dissatisfaction with the distribution of the funds and attempted to pressure him for more. The situation took a darker turn when the man sold the newly purchased vehicle shortly after acquiring it, raising suspicions among neighbors. A local landlord, who spoke to The Nation, revealed that the man was later discovered in his home with his mouth, hands, and feet bound. "He was tied like an animal to be slaughtered. They (his wife and kids) got some Aboki men, about six of them to tie him up. It was the strange noise from their parking that alerted residents who gathered in front of the house to know what was happening. "Landlords in the area who could not endure the noise at that hour, decided to go out and find out what was wrong. When they got to his compound, they saw a Korope (small bus) outside packing properties. "His wife and sons were the ones packing and so, the residents asked after the man. When the response given was not satisfactory, they forced themselves inside the house and saw the man completely bound with the Aboki people still inside the house, as though they were waiting to kill him. "The man was untied and rushed to the hospital. He's still at the hospital receiving treatment. The suspects were all taken to the police station. One of the Aboki men confessed it was the man's wife that contracted them to tie him up. They were all taken to the police station that morning," said the landlord. The police were hired to oppress and torture one Jimoh Abdulqadir, by the person he was owing 220k, Mr. Gabriel Sunday. They didn’t invite him. They lured him to a market, pretending to be customers, and abducted him on Friday19th December 2024, around 5pm. Around 10pm he managed to call his mother. Before he was lured. He collected his Ajo money of 350k from his sister. The money was with him when they arrested him. When his mom and her friend got to the station around 10pm. They saw him looking healthy and fine. Then, asked the police to take 220k from the 350k that they found with him. Police refused. Asked them to come back. Because the person that asked them to arrest Jimoh has not permited them to release him. Apparently the person that asked them to arrest Jimoh is an elder brother of a police man in the station. Twistttt! Again, around 2am the police called Jimoh’s sister who’s a nursing mother to come and take him. Yh around 2am. It was weird. What was left of the credibility of West Midlands Police has been destroyed today. We learned earlier that their initial reason for banning Israelis from Villa Park was the danger *to* away fans *from* armed” locals. But to justify the ban they portrayed the Israelis as “uniquely violent” and military-trained. They used “intelligence” supposedly from Dutch police that has been utterly repudiated - by the Dutch police and other authorities. And when the Home Affairs Select Committee asked why the vital information about the danger *to* Israelis was kept secret, the Chief Constable ludicrously said it was because he had not been asked for it. In other words: “We won’t tell you the truth because you didn’t ask a specific question about a thing you didn’t know because we hadn’t told you.” Yes. That was his defence. He is too arrogant to resign. The Home Secretary has the power to remove him under s40 of the Police Act 1996. She should use it.

Axel Rudakubana's parents are "collateral damage in this terrible tale", according to an article in the Daily Mail last week. Why have the media depicted first the Southport murderer, then the parents who raised him, as the victims? They lived in squalor in a social housing property they purchased. They failed to have their son sectioned, or to hand him over to the police, after his father foiled an attack on his own school a week before the dance class killings. Axel spoke openly about his desire for "white genocide". Did his parents not know about his fixation with terrorism and historical atrocities? They bought his tablet. They paid for the broadband. They knew he was ordering suspicious Amazon packages to their neighbour's home. As far as we know, they did nothing to stop him. We have lost sight of all morality when we pretend that parents are in no way responsible for the children they raise. Serious questions must be asked of this family, given asylum in Britain eight years after the Rwandan genocide was over, who repaid our country's kindness by raising a killer.

Why is no one talking about Rizwan? According to the family, the 14-year-old was allegedly struck on the head multiple times with an iron rod by Tarun during the clash, causing him to collapse and suffer seizures. He was later taken to a hospital for treatment. The family claims that while Rizwan was being treated, unknown individuals allegedly forced the family’s women to sign some documents and then took him away. Since then, they say they have received no information about his whereabouts and do not know whether he is safe.
