@TizzyEnt if you can contact the mom, since child assault charges were never filed (felony) I believe there’s still statute of limitations time (3 years, felonies) for the mom to file charges.

2 things: 1) Have mom check on the statute of limitations for the charged offense 2) Check on HOW the case was dismissed. If it was without prejudice, the same charge can be refiled by the victim for something as simple as a missed court date (within SOL)

1- There were clearly two victims. She threatened the other girl with violence, which is simple assault. 2- There should have been a victim advocate from the prosecutor's office to coordinate getting the child there and protecting her in the process.

In the UK, child witnesses give their evidence in pre-recorded interviews where both defence and prosecution can question them. They can also give evidence by video link. It's not difficult.

No surprise that the Palos Hills PD doesn't want people calling them about anything, the PD is very rude, disrespectful and highly unprofessional. Lived in that area for over 15 years, and nurmerous times have been featured in other videos in which they are highly disrespectful.

It was also during the pandemic, so spitting on someone should carry an additional charge like the people that spit at employees who told them they had to wear masks, right? I’m not sure what that is but you get me
