At Carver High in Montgomery, Alabama, students drop their phones into these Yondr-style magnetic pouches first thing in the morning. The pouch stays locked on them all day and only unlocks at dismissal around 2:45 PM. The principal started it to cut down on all the in-class texting and scrolling. This 63 year old man is building an A frame house by himself. He had to figure out how he was going to get these panels all the way up. So he built his own ladder with notches on it to catch the panels as he moved up. 👏 They say necessity is the mother of ingenuity. Just like they did with Machete yesterday, NTV has done an interview with another political prisoner who was released. This one is called Kalanzi.. He says on the day he was abducted he hide himself in the ceiling and left the woman and kids there, gunmen beat up his wife but she refused to give up him. Then they started beating up his kids. When he saw them beating kids he came out and was taken. Painful story. 😭💔

This woman’s neighbors always leaves their trash and empty boxes in front of her door. They have never said why they do that nor have they ever responded to her requests to stop doing it. This has been going on since she’s moved in and it’s been months now. After being fed up with what’s going on, she’s decided that she’s going to do the same thing right back to the and started leaving her trash by their door as well. It’s clear that the UCP government does not care about the needs of Calgarians. Just 34 days ago, the UCP promised that funding for the Green Line was “100 per cent” secure, even for the new shorter version. Now they've decided to pull their funding. This reckless decision could mean the end of a badly needed transit project and a massive waste of over $1 billion that has already been spent as construction is well underway. The UCP has chosen to give up 20,000 jobs directly associated with this project, including 1,000 people employed today who will be thrown out of work by this decision. Not to mention all the private sector jobs that will come from the redevelopment and densification of lands surrounding the future stations. Let’s be clear. This decision will drive both public and private sector investment out of Calgary and Alberta because there is no certainty. Who will ever bid on projects if the province’s signature is no longer worth anything and they can pull funding at will? They are pretending they are looking at new options, but we’ve seen this movie before. Minister Dreeshen’s proposed alignment has been studied. And studied. And studied. It won’t work. It dumps SE commuters nowhere near where they need to be and expects them to trudge to a red or blue line station to get on a train that is already packed. It’s a dream from someone who has clearly never taken transit in Calgary. The UCP government has chosen to make this a political issue. The UCP wants to make this about me. It’s not about me — it’s about doing the right thing for the tens of thousands of Calgarians that will be hurt by this decision. As always, the UCP would rather pick a fight than win for citizens. The Green Line is a required investment for the future of Calgary. It’s an investment in ending the congestion on Deerfoot and Stoney Trails, and the Centre Street corridor. It’s an investment in the environment, in quality of life, in getting people to and from work, and kids to and from school. We simply have to look at the congestion nightmare that is Toronto today because that city didn’t invest in transit when they should have. This is untenable and the people of Calgary deserve better than to be used as a political football. The premier needs to intervene directly, take control of this file from her minister and advisors and work with the city to find a way forward.

This man said helicopter pilot flew into an area to rescue people who were needing help. Told his co-Pilot, who was his son, to get out to let the people in and flew the people to safety. When he landed, the fire chief or assistant fire chief told him he couldn’t go back up up to rescue people and he said his son was up there and he was told if he went back up there he would get arrested🤬. Officials are turning HELP away from the people that desperately need it. These people are trapped and could be rescued, but our government is stopping this from happening! This reaction in Canada has mostly to do with the constant barbs that Trump is throwing at Trudeau, who's still in power for another 22 days. There's a very negative relationship there and it's just gotten worse because Trudeau has been putting out posts stirring up anti-Trump sentiment. And so Trump keeps going with, let's buy it as the 51st state. That has made Canadians crazy. The truth is that that is not being discussed at all. That's not part of the actual narrative that's occurring in Washington, D.C.. Premiers in Canada are down with their teams trying to focus on a new deal, if you want to call it NAFTA III. There is a slight chance this whole thing gets punted until April 2nd after the report comes out on the impact of tariffs on Canada and Mexico. But this nationalism in Canada is the noise. It's not the signal.
