ursa loved azula, but she DID neglect her. ignoring that simplifies both of their characters. neglect shouldn’t be justified or excused, but ursa was a victim of ozai and her trauma effected her treatment of azula. while it’s tragic, it’s realistic

Coleus🔞 Right before Sozin's comet, Iroh straight up tells Zuko that he can't beat Azula by himself and Zuko agrees. Zuko only decides to 1v1 Azula after he notices she's slipping and he explicitly says that this will give him the advantage he needs to win.

Everyone keeps blaming Ursa for how Azula turned out, but Azula was already talking like this at around 7 years old. Wishing death on Iroh and disrespecting Azulon at that age is crazy. Ursa had flaws, but Azula’s cruelty was clearly being fed more by Ozai. The only thing we should blame Ursa for is giving birth to someone as evil as azula

This is One of the things Zuko surpasses Azula in. Because Zuko learnt fire bending and breath techniques from General Iroh, he knew how to fire bend even when he’s frozen. Unlike Azula that’s completely powerless when frozen.

I don’t get why people use The Boiling Rock fight to try to knock or downplay Azula. She’s 2v1ing post-dragon Zuko & Sokka who is using his sword to keep Azula on the edge of the gondola and allow Zuko to follow up. Despite this she evades and counters every attack.

Unpopular take: Zuko didn’t beat Azula because he became stronger than her. He won because he finally stopped fighting her like she was a monster that needed to be defeated. Throughout the series, Zuko fights emotionally. Azula fights strategically. That’s why she usually controls the pace of their encounters. But during the Agni Kai, the roles flip.

PROOF THAT TOPH EARTH BEND'S WITHOUT HER FEET ON GROUND!!! She used rocks to cover Appa's face, and remove when them flew by Azula, and these while in the Air.
