Unique footage has emerged showing remote control of interceptor drones. The 190th Training Center of the SBS reportedly used a drone-interceptor to shoot down a Shahed UAV remotely, with the pilot located at a significant distance from the launch site. The system used was LITAVR, developed by FDrones. According to the company, an operator can control the interceptor from hundreds of kilometers away from the launch point. The F7 LITAVR is already a well-known and highly effective system. As a reminder, here are the technical details (this is all open-source information): Development of the system began in autumn 2024. It was successfully tested and officially adopted in summer 2025. Serial production and deliveries to the military started in autumn 2025. Maximum speed: 350 km/h Flight time: up to 15 minutes Equipped with two cameras: daytime and thermal imaging The officially stated tactical range is 36 km, though in practice it can reach up to 60 km and operate at altitudes of up to 9.5 km. The warhead (separately codified) weighs 500 g. Detonation can occur via kinetic impact, self-destruction upon contact with the target, or manual activation by the operator. The system uses inertial guidance without GPS and features automatic terminal guidance (“last mile” / target lock system). At present, it reportedly destroys hundreds of targets per week, including Shaheds, Gerberas, Molniyas, Orlans, Lancets, and others. What is fundamentally new? Until now, mobile air defense fire groups and frontline crews using interceptor drones required a qualified pilot on-site. It has now been successfully demonstrated that a different tactic is possible: pilots can operate from protected, remote locations. Americans are not ready to watch sons and daughters hunted by FPV drones. Some may not like this post, and that’s OK. Some may see this as being a “panican,” and that is also OK. My tolerance for American blood being spilled is very, very low. But this needs to be said: If you have paid any attention to the war in Ukraine, you will know how drone warfare has escalated. You will have an understanding of the sophistication of the Ukrainians and Russians in their pursuit of hunting and killing each other with human-guided robots strapped with explosives. We know Russia and Iran share military ties; hell, the most common form of long-range standoff munition used to target Ukrainian infrastructure is an Iranian-designed Shahed drone. Now, are the Iranians as sophisticated as the Russians? No. But will a ground action result in grainy videos of Americans being hit by FPV drones? Almost certainly. Could the deployment of ground forces to the Gulf be a feint? Sure, it could be, but this point extends beyond Iran. The U.S. needs to be ready to counter the drone menace. I won’t pretend to know the inner machinations of the Joint Chiefs, the White House, or President Trump, but with the destruction of an E-3 Sentry on the runway, it has become absolutely clear the U.S. armed forces have not scaled their ability to handle drones. I don’t know what the answer here is, but I haven’t seen this point brought up at the frequency it deserves. It needs to be said. We are not ready for footage of American soldiers and Marines cowering in their last moments, set to some upbeat pop song or some cleric screaming praises to Allah.

Robots that act like slime! 🫟 Cornell University engineers developed a robotic collective that behaves less like a machine and more like a material that flows, reshapes, and adapts without centralized control. It consists of dozens of small robots with limited individual mobility that exhibit coordinated motion when entangled. The system resembles soft matter, continuously deforming and reorganizing as it moves, driven by mechanical intelligence. Each robotic module measures 200mm long and 20mm wide, containing a small motor that oscillates between "I" and "U" shapes. These oscillations generate forces against the ground, allowing modules to inch forward and jostle together. On their own, modules move slowly and inefficiently. When they entangle into chains, they self-organize into shifting configurations that prove resilient in challenging environments. On incline surfaces, chains moved more reliably than individuals. In obstacle fields, the collective behaved like a flowing material, connections formed to maintain cohesion, then broke apart to prevent jamming. The system stays functional even when modules fail. Isolated modules emit an audible distress signal, prompting nearby modules to slow down so the straggler can reconnect. #Libya #AlZawiya #SITREP | The security situation in Al-Zawiya, west of Tripoli, is deteriorating following repeated reported drone strikes against fuel infrastructure. A Brega gasoline tank containing approximately 4.5 million liters was hit, burned through the night and later collapsed. Emergency crews emptied and cooled nearby tanks to prevent the fire from spreading. Further drone activity has been reported around the oil complex, including strikes near storage tanks, pipelines and an oil blending facility. The desalination facility was also reportedly targeted. Firefighting operations remain underway. Parts recovered at the site appear consistent with smaller FPV-type drones. A resident also reportedly found fiber-optic cable on a rooftop extending toward the refinery, raising the possibility that fiber-optic guided FPV drones are being used to reduce vulnerability to electronic jamming. The refinery's processing units have reportedly not been damaged and fuel supplies remain unaffected. Libya's National Oil Corporation has warned that continued attacks could force a shutdown and declaration of force majeure. Al-Zawiya hosts Libya's largest operating refinery, with capacity of about 120,000 barrels per day, and is connected to the Sharara oil field. Continued attacks could threaten fuel supplies across Tripoli and western Libya. While there is currently no verified attribution for the strikes, tensions have been escalating between forces aligned with the Tripoli authorities and local armed networks associated with Mohamed Bahroun, known as “Al-Far.” There have also been repeated clashes around the refinery this year involving rival Al-Zawiya factions competing over territory and influence.
