This batter bunts the ball down the first base line. As he is sprinting down the line the first basemen is getting ready to make a play and tag him. The runner dives a bit outside with his had stretched out and tags the side of the double first base for runners. He’s safe. But the umpire said he was outside the base path and called him out. Th What do you think? Was he out of the baseline or not? Safe or out?

This from Chalobah irritated the life out of me… Chalobah has the time to potentially turn out and find Hato or Cucurella who are free on the other side. Instead, because he’s so right foot dominant, he passes it to Santos, who is immediately in danger of being pressed. Santos’s touch is super heavy. But this situation absolutely shouldn’t have happened. Reece is off the pitch. Why are we rushing the restart? Poor on so many levels.
