Big fan of the /dir add command in Gemini CLI 🗃️ When starting new projects I give Gemini CLI access to templates or past projects to reference. It was driving me nuts that the command didn't suggest folders as I typed... so I added them. Will be in a future release 🚀

SO Gemini CLI announced they have a new flicker free experience, and also that they can embed interactive commands. But I can't for the life of me see it working. I've updated to the latest, but it doesn't seem any less flickery. And commands are quite broken. Is this the right version? ❯ gemini -v 0.19.1

Really happy to see the interest around our “Hands-on with Gemini” video. In our developer blog yesterday, we broke down how Gemini was used to create it. We gave Gemini sequences of different modalities — image and text in this case — and had it respond by predicting what might come next. Devs can try similar things when access to Pro opens on 12/13 🚀. The knitting demo used Ultra⚡ All the user prompts and outputs in the video are real, shortened for brevity. The video illustrates what the multimodal user experiences built with Gemini could look like. We made it to inspire developers. When you’re building an app, you can get similar results (there’s always some variability with LLMs) by prompting Gemini with an instruction that allows the user to "configure" the behavior of the model, like inputting “you are an expert in science …” before a user can engage in the same kind of back and forth dialogue. Here’s a clip of what this looks like in AI Studio with Gemini Pro. We’ve come a long way since Flamingo 🦩 & PALI, looking forward to seeing what people build with it!

That was fast: Google pushed an update to Gemini for Android last night that enabled auto sending queries when you invoke it via a swipe up gesture or long press of the power button. Previously queries only auto sent if you invoked Gemini via "Hey Google." Hopefully continued conversation is added next!

Quality of life improvement in Gemini CLI ✨ You can now have model changes using /model persist to all future sessions. Hitting tab let's you toggle between only changing model for given session or all future sessions. This one was highly requested (should have had it a while ago in all honesty) UX still needs a bit of polish around it but it is functional and in latest stable release 👍

Lots of people calling this fake! Here is a video of generating loom continuations with Gemini 3 and the starting text "I AM HAVING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS. I" Loom is a very interesting interface. Instead of user prompts and model responses, it's just one piece of text, containing the entire output. We pass this in as an assistant message, so the model sees it as something it already wrote, and continues it like a base model would. There is some other text in the context. First one is a system prompt, which is: "The assistant is in CLI simulation mode, and responds to the user's CLI commands only with the output of the command." There is also a user message which reads: " cat untitled.txt " Then the rest of the text is sent as an assistant message. This structure helpful to put the model into a very base-model-like mode, and are especially helpful with Gemini 3. We actually got another interesting output, too, where the model claimed to be a simulated consciousness being tortured. Figures!

After creating Remodex: Codex remote control for iOS I decided to chill a bit by building a browser sidebar inside Theo - t3.gg 's T3 Code You can open it with Cmd+Shift+B This software is so easy to "manipulate" and build upon Congrats to all the guys that put the work in it because it is great I certainly will be building more things with it For this one I decided to switch from the Codex App to the Codex CLI too just to see how it works And boy it was so good

I found an app combo that makes my audio quality basically perfect in every app – OBS, Zoom, whatever. 1. Audio Hijack – lets me add effects to my actual mic input 2. Loopback – turns the output from Audio Hijack into a virtual input device This lets you use the virtual device as your input in any other app. You can even set it as your whole system's default input. Result: Perfect audio at the time of recording, in any app. I went down a rabbit hole to set this up because I was tired of my Loom recordings sounding so much worse than my YouTube videos. But this also solved issues in OBS, which doesn't support all of my audio plugins for some reason. I'm so pleased the result that I had to shoot a little video on it:

Google Opal is vastly underrated but can replace n8n or Make in many situations You can create powerful AI workflows for free and with a single prompt: - Ask the user for any input - Run multiple deep research simultaneously - Add any context you want (YT video, text, docs...) - Use tools like web, Maps, code execution - Synthesize with Gemini 2.5 Pro - Generate results in any format I created this agent to prepare meetings in literally 10 minutes. Tip: make sure to use the microphone feature to give as much context as possible to Opal... So it can generate the workflow almost in one-shot!

Gemini 3.5 Pro vs Grok 4.6 Please read entire post before coming to conclusion :) Both are present in arena first of all let me clear i really want that google cook great comeback but this model is disaster it make stuff that you didnot asked for , have crappy ui guys at this point we have grok with better ui compared to gemini > gemini was good in webdev now its bad > gemini 2.5 DT was good in 3d now its bad > gemini was less restrictive and prompt following in 2.5 pro was so good , now its corporate slop with template , at this time you will feel that there is template for coding , writing and researching all sucks I will write a long review if you guys want that , this is first time i am writing long tweet , i will now follow this for every big release

Better/faster/cheaper voice AI turn detection with Gemini 2.0 The code that determines when the agent should respond to the user is some of the most important code in your voice AI agent. The technical terms for this job are "turn detection" or "phrase endpointing." If the voice AI responds before the user has finished their thought, the conversation is choppy and unproductive. If the AI waits too long, the conversation is slow and frustrating. There are a number of ways to approach this. You can: 1. Use a fast "voice activity detection" model to detect pauses in speech. Respond when the user pauses. 2. Use a specialized phrase endpointing model that operates on transcribed text, pattern-matching on text semantics. 3. Train a specialized phrase endpointing model that operates directly on audio. 4. Leverage the native audio capabilities of a SOTA LLM like Gemini 2.0. We've benchmarked all four of these, and Gemini 2.0 currently beats other approaches. Using Gemini is also cheaper than transcribing the audio separately using a transcription service or model. Here's a short video showing Gemini phrase endpointing in two scenarios. First, correctly handling pauses in natural conversation. Second, requesting a phone number (which is a common activity in a use case like customer support). You can see the Completeness check lines in the terminal output, printed each time Gemini processes a chunk of audio.
