We should never allow any of that when it comes to the staff or anywhere else. People should feel safe here at the Capitol. Again, this is somewhere where I think we need to make sure we’re showing accountability. I’m going to do everything I can on the Democratic side to push in that direction and stand up, especially when it’s very clear that something is not in line with our values or our laws. I push Republicans to do the same. I wish I had greater sway on that side to be able to enforce that, but they need to step up more, and we all need to step up more to make it clear that this is unacceptable.
