Very good explainer video about how austerity doesn’t work, and actually compounds the economic and societal problems people pretend it solves. I wonder who made this video from 2018? Oh.

If you want to get what we need from governments, there’s a way. Voting collectively, it’s leverage, it’s power. That’s what we’re doing @MVTFWD, with tools like Join us, 2029 will be our election.

Also see the Australian simulation package during the financial crisis of 2008 and how it kept the country out of recession, also things like Universal basic income (UBI) and how it could be used to stop the negatives in the video and also keep money moving in the local economy

We mustn't forget that Cameron and Osborne and Gove set out to destroy the public sector. It wasn't just bad housekeeping it was an ideological intent to shrink the state.

@sws110160 Can’t believe the date. This should have been aired nightly splashed across the media. What was the Labour Party PR team doing?

Yeah, it’s almost like they don’t realise that economies are driven by millions of people spending money on small stuff every day rather than a handful of billionaires buying a gold plated Porsche every few years.
