He is confirming that HYBE issued a press release using his name, and that it does not represent his views. He said this situation was extremely uncomfortable for him. HYBE engaged in media play by making it appear as though he had verified their claims, which put him in a very difficult position. What’s even more regrettable, he said, is that HYBE knew very well that he is affiliated with Billboard and understood the seriousness of using his name in this way, yet they did not correct the situation.
