France Minister of Transportation on Tesla's FSD in new video: "The safety trade-offs are not yet sufficient to authorize it as it currently stands. All the more so since this system is not a self-driving system; So what are our concerns? Without going into overly technical detail, there are several. First example: we've found that the system allows for speeding. Another example: according to the data we have, the system doesn't guarantee an optimal level of driver attention in urban settings and during the most complex maneuvers, such as lane changes, intersections, or roundabouts. So what are the next steps? We're currently continuing our technical discussions with the Netherlands, other European states, and Tesla to refine our analysis. Last week, a representative from the Ministry of Transport's services traveled to the Netherlands. I want to emphasize this: France supports these technologies, and their deployment must happen within a framework of trust that allows us to evaluate the systems and determine what adjustments FSD needs to guarantee a high level of safety. This autumn, I will also be bringing together the French autonomous vehicle ecosystem to present the levers that will accelerate the deployment of this technology and to set a direction for the coming years. In France, we're fortunate to have world-class automakers and automotive suppliers, as well as some of the best engineers in the world in artificial intelligence and digital technology. (SDAL) demonstrated "Bhargavastra", an indigenous, vehicle-mounted, multi-layered Counter-Swarm Drone System designed to provide affordable and highly effective protection against the rapidly growing threat of weaponised drones, loitering munitions and autonomous drone swarms. Developed entirely in India, Bhargavastra represents a major technological breakthrough in counter-drone warfare and reflects SDAL's vision of anticipating the future character of conflict well before drones emerged as one of the most decisive battlefield weapons. The system employs indigenously designed and developed unguided rockets and precision micro-missiles arranged in a multi-layer engagement architecture, providing a highly effective yet economical means of neutralising hostile UAVs. It has also been designed for seamless integration with the existing Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence (C4I) networks of the Indian Armed Forces, enabling its employment in future network-centric operations. Engineered specifically for Indian operational conditions, Bhargavastra is capable of deployment across deserts, plains and mountainous terrain up to 5,000 metres above mean sea level, providing reliable protection against aerial threats along the country's entire land borders. A team of Indian Army visited SDAL, Nagpur on 24th July 2026 as part of Status review against a PSO under make-II The Bhargavastra weapon system, in its full configuration comprising a Command & Control Vehicle (CCV) equipped with Radar, EO/IR and RF detectors integrated with the C4I system, along with a launcher vehicle carrying all the launch tubes, was demonstrated. The SDAL team flew a swarm of drones, which was successfully detected by the Radar, EO/IR and RF detectors. The C4I system displayed the complete situational awareness picture and generated a drone attack alert. The launcher was then assigned the targets by the C4I system, and the complete firing sequence was successfully demonstrated to the visiting team. Actual rocket firing was not carried out within the plant premises due to safety considerations.

“Full video dekho before judging anyone. The man in the blue shirt is not even the owner. He is just a driver doing his job and trying to talk normally and calmly after the incident. But instead of understanding the situation, people started gathering like cockroaches, shouting from every side, touching, pushing, and suddenly one man came and slapped him without even knowing the full truth. This is the real problem on Indian roads today. Zero civic sense. Zero anger control. Maximum mob mentality. If there is an accident or vehicle damage, there is law, insurance, police, and penalty system for that. Whoever is at fault should pay legally. But how can people randomly start hitting a poor driver who is only working for his owner? The vehicle damage will ultimately become the headache of that driver only. The owner will question him, salary may get cut, job pressure will come on him, while random people who slapped him will simply walk away. In the video, the blue shirt driver was not abusing, attacking, or behaving aggressively. He was trying to explain. Still, people surrounded him and raised hands without patience or basic humanity. Road rage is becoming more dangerous than accidents themselves. Nowadays people don’t want truth first they want drama first, violence first, and then social media sympathy later. No civic sense. No patience. No emotional control. Just cockroach mentality gathering on roads and attacking someone without knowing facts.”

NEWS: Waymo has released a new blog post detailing their AI strategy and how it’s allowing them to bring service to more riders faster. "Achieving demonstrably safe AI — where safety is proven, not just promised — requires a holistic approach. Beyond a smart and capable Driver, you also need a closed-loop, realistic Simulator to train and rigorously test the Driver in a myriad of challenging situations, and a sharp Critic to evaluate the Driver's performance and identify areas for improvement." Waymo says that autonomous driving isn’t just a matter of building a “smart driver,” but rather creating a full AI ecosystem centered on safety from the ground up. At the core is the Waymo Foundation Model, a unified world-model that powers all major components of Waymo’s autonomous stack (Driver, Simulator, Critic). "By using a “Think Fast/Think Slow” architecture (combining rapid sensor-fusion with deep semantic reasoning), this system enables the car to detect complex and rare road scenarios (e.g. a burning vehicle ahead), reason about them, and choose safe behavior. Waymo trains large “Teacher” AI-models for driving, simulation, and evaluation, then distills them into smaller, efficient “Student” models suitable for real-world deployment, while keeping safety validation tightly integrated. The result is a continuous “flywheel” of learning: driving data (real and simulated) generate feedback, which leads to refinements, more simulation, more data, and only when safety checks pass is new code deployed. Bolt Africa Bolt💔⁉️🇿🇦 I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a Bolt trip during which I was placed in serious danger due to the drvers negligent and unsafe conduct.... I was picked up in Johannesburg and noticed while we were travelling on the N1 towards Randburg that the driver appeared extremely tired. The vehicle repeatedly moved onto the white lane markings, and I had to alert the driver that we were driving on top of the lines..... Shortly afterwards, i observed through the rear-view mirror that the driver was repeatedly closing his eyes while driving. Concerned for my safety, l recorded a video because I intended to report the incident. .... "In the videos attached, you can clearly see that the driver's eyes were closing while he was driving. The footage shows him repeatedly struggling to keep his eyes open, which put my safety and the safety of other road users at risk." The driver's eyes were visibly closing while the vehicle was moving at speed on a busy highway At one point, the driver appeared to fall asleep while driving and the vehicle started moving into other lanes while his eyes were closed. I had to tap his shoulder to wake him up. A few minutes later, I believed he had recovered, but as we approached a traffic light l noticed that the traffic signal was red and the driver was not slowing down. Instead, the vehicle continued accelerating. When I looked again, I saw that his eyes were closed. I immediately tapped him again, but he was unable to avoid a collision and crashed into a Ford vehicle Fortunately, I was seated in the back and was not seriously injured, although! experienced pain in my knee immediately after the collision. The police attended the scene following the accident. What concerns me most is that this accident appears to have been caused by the driver's fatigue and repeated loss of attention while operating the vehicle. leven provided video evidence to the driver of the Ford because the Bolt driver was blaming the other driver despite having fallen asleep behind the wheel Passengers trust Bolt to provide safe transportation. A driver who is too tired to remain awake should not be accepting trips, as this places passengers and other road users at risk of serious injury or death. I request that Bolt conduct a full investigation into this incident, review any available trip data and the video evidence, and take appropriate action regarding the driver's conduct. I would also appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and information on the outcome of the investigation.
