Agent mode is now available in public preview for all users in Visual Studio 17.14. Agent mode in Visual Studio allows you to define tasks using natural language, with Copilot autonomously planning, editing your codebase, invoking tools, and iterating to resolve issues. Unlike Copilot Chat or Edits, agent mode doesn’t stop at one suggestion or file edit. Read more about it in our blog. 📖 #visualstudionews #githubcopilot #agent

Did u ever imagined in your head, visually, what your GitHub Copilot is doing when u kick off a session in Visual Studio Code? Me too! Presenting Visual Studio Code session visualizer (which I posted about a few weeks ago) 📌 See top level user->agent turns 📌 Click ℹ️ for extended node info(mode, prompt, tool calls, tokens used and more) 📌 Expand agent nodes on click for full tool invocations/mcps/sub agents etc 📌 Sub agent nodes can be further expended 📌 High level summery of session with detailed model and token utilization per turn Initial version available now in Visual Studio Code marketplace, see first comment for link 👇 Tell me what u think!

Copilot CLI can now write and hot reload it's own typescript extensions! Here the agent wrote it's own snake extension that only lets me play while copilot is busy, and pauses the game when I need to provide input. Available today in /experimental mode v1.0.3
