🚨 THIS WOMAN JUST SHOWED A WALMART TRICK THAT LOCATES ANY ITEM ALMOST INSTANTLY A shopper was hunting for a specific garlic infused olive oil and couldn’t find it among all the bottles. Then she opened the Walmart app, selected the product, hit “locate,” and tapped the option to make the price tag flash. The exact digital tag on the shelf started blinking so she could walk straight to it. People in the comments are calling it the first real upside to those digital price tags everyone usually complains about. No more wandering the aisle forever or asking three employees. Would you actually use this feature every time… or are the digital tags still more creepy than helpful?

$We are being robbed. Walmart digital price tags show the the cost per ounce of an item, and then price of the item But if you actually do the math, the price is wrong and there are charging us more Take Great Value ground black pepper: - Charged price: $3.58 - Stated unit price is 89.5 cents per ounce - Stated weight is 3 ounces Here’s the math check: Expected price: 3 \times 0.895 = 2.685 → $2.69 or $2.70 if they round up Walmart is selling this item for $3.58 on the shelf but it should only be $2.70 So $3.58 − $2.70 means they are stealing $0.88 from every customer$

🛒 Why is Walmart ripping the price tags off almost every piece of clothing? This woman is walking through the store and discovers that nearly all the price tags have been completely removed. She asks a vendor working the floor, and she confirms: “Yeah, every time a new truck comes in, employees have to rip all the prices off.” Now shoppers have to scan every single item with the Walmart app just to see how much anything costs. It seems like Walmart is only doing this to the fashion/clothing department — shirts, pants, jeans, underwear, kids’ clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. I’m so confused why they’re doing this — who else has noticed this at their Walmart?

According to one customer, people are damaging the digital pricing labels at his grocery store. Despite outcry from consumers across the country, multiple giant supermarket chains are implementing digital price labels and dynamic pricing strategies where the cost of items fluctuate frequently based on multiple factors. Walmart, the country's largest grocer, hopes to have digital price labels at 2,300 U.S. stores by 2026. Kroger is expanding the use of digital labels this year after testing them at 20 stores. Whole Foods is testing the labels in nearly 50 stores. Customers worry these digital labels will let companies raise prices at a moment's notice, making greater profits off essential items at the grocery store.

Was so dope to chat Vori on TBPN. Vori is the self-driving operating system for supermarkets. Walmart just spent $1B modernizing their digital shelf labels across every single item across every one of their 4,600 stores. At Vori, we’re doing that for all of our customers, bringing Walmart and Amazon-level technology to 75% of the $1.5T food and beverage retail market. Because when grocery stores survive, the entire block thrives. And consumers get freedom of choice - not a future where two companies control every aisle in America. We're increasing the GDP of main street.

We are being robbed blind All these spices at Walmart with the new digital price tags are wrong. They tell you the cost per ounce, but if you multiply that by the product’s weight, many of them are overcharging. By a lot Tone’s Restaurant Black Pepper: - Unit price on tag: $0.98 per ounce - Size: 8 oz - Unit price × size: $0.98 × 8 = $7.84 - Shelf price: $8.82 - Overcharging by $0.98 McCormick Italian Seasoning - Unit price on tag: $2.26 per ounce - Size: 2.25 oz - Unit price × size: $2.26 × 2.25 = $5.09 - Shelf price: $7.33 - Overcharging by $2.24 - McCormick lemon pepper is overcharging by $2.03 - Kinder’s Seasoning is overcharging by $0.46 - Kinder’s Butcher Blend Seasoning is overcharging by $0.57 There is something I want to point out to hopefully give you a new perspective on this At first you might thing this is just an accident or perhaps just some kind of system error But think of this, not one error has the price lower… every single one has the price higher This isn’t an error, charging more like this adds up to millions and millions of dollars over all their thousands of stores We are being robbed blind

Read an article in the NY Post about digital price tags and looked into it further I’d love an answer from Walmart Kroger and others rolling it out — If you’re saying you aren’t going to do surge pricing, why would you need digital labels that can change in a second? Americans be warned

Walmart manager confirms the store is changing prices of items from the time you pick them up to the time you get to the register “So me and my son went to Walmart to pick up some butter and some other items for my baking, and I grabbed my stuff, and I'm very aware of prices because of how high stuff is. And I go to check out and I start noticing that my prices are higher, and I'm like, okay. So I call the manager over And he comes over and he says, uh, you know, the prices can change from the time you leave the area to the time you get to the register because the computer updates” The manager confirms that just within that couple minutes they’re allowed to change the price According to Walmart they are implementing these digital pricing tags throughout all their stores and the prices can change. The CEO made a statement saying the prices will change but it’s by item, not person. He also said the price changes are supposed to be done outside of customer hours But this is a big issue for many people because with these tags the items can be changed mid-day or based on demand. Yes they’re the same price for everyone but that’s still dynamic pricing This isn’t a conspiracy theory wither, Walmart has been sued by California for issues with pricing like this more than once. So the CEO is saying one thing but what people are seeing in the stores, what their employees are saying and what lawsuits are showing is the opposite

FTC documents show Pepsi is price fixing The FTC looked at internal emails with Pepsi and Walmart, they found they act as one company and Pepsi even takes action against grocery stores and other chains like Target if they price Pepsi as cheaply as Walmart does “The FTC looked at a bunch of internal Pepsi emails and communications. The executives at Pepsi would talk about Walmart's prices as our prices. As if this is, this is all one big company — Big rivals like Target, small mom and pop shops, regional chains, everywhere it could keep an eye on it, it did. And where it found that Pepsi prices in those other stores were getting low enough to really compete with Walmart, with all of the discounts and all of the other things that it was giving Walmart, it took action against those other stores. What does that look like? It reduced their deals, it reduced the discounts they were giving these other retailers. It even increased their wholesale prices, started to kind of ratchet it up more and more every year so that the price of Pepsi products at every other store that wasn't a Walmart were artificially higher for the consumer than they would have been if there was actual competition between Walmart and these stores. These stores wanted to push the prices down, but Pepsi simply wouldn't let them by charging them more” This is price fixing and illegal

🚨 New digital pricing has come to American grocery stores He says that he’s seen the pricing change based on time of day and how many items are left, “They'll fluctuate based off of demand” - If it’s 6pm, the price goes up - Once the inventory on these items become low, the prices will start to shoot up to $1.20 “They're gonna start incorporating all these all over. Yeah, so it's pretty crazy. I'll come back later on in the day and you'll see this go up and down in price. You'll see it go as low as like 89 cents, which is pretty crazy” Welcome to dystopia

Investigation finds the reason why prices on everyday products never seem to go down Walmart is making secret deals with major Big Food companies to set the price of items. If a different store chain tries to sell an item for cheaper, big food companies create plans to force those stores to increase their prices to be higher than Walmart prices. They do things like cut their promotion rates and increase their wholesale rates Because of this, Walmart sets the floor price. 🚨 MICHAEL’S STORES JUST QUIETLY REMOVED ALL PRICE TAGS - SHOPPERS CALL IT “DIABOLICAL DYNAMIC PRICING” A woman walked into Michael’s and realized NOTHING in the store has a price on it anymore. No stickers, no tags, no scanners, not even the app will tell you. Workers admitted: “Yeah… I don’t know why they’re doing that." Customers now only find out the price AFTER they get to the register. People are saying this is the beginning of full-blown dynamic pricing, where the store changes the price based on WHO you are and WHEN you shop. Shoppers are furious, saying they’re walking out empty-handed because they refuse to play “price roulette” at the checkout. Is this the future of shopping… or a straight-up scam being tested on Americans?
