I was a Gunn enjoyer until I understood what I always feared : he's a one trick poney. Same story, same characters, same obsession with putting his music everywhere. He can only make one movie.

It really wasn’t that bad of a scene or song. Movie was in no ways a masterpiece but it held its merit & was a popcorn flick. I can at least say I wasn’t bored. (Other than villain and character B’s 20 min moment escaping) Final though: it didn’t add anything moving forward

When Guardians of the Galaxy came out in 2014 it was amazing because it was nothing like every other superhero movie at the time and it was about characters that the majority of the general audience never knew. He had the license to do cringey shit because audiences had 0 attachments to those characters. Him doing his same schtick for popular characters is gonna continue to piss everyone off.
