There was me thinking the crossing was to let pedestrians cross , no sign of cyclists slowing down , no good ringing bells when the are on the crossing are they not suppose to stop ? This whole system infuriates me it's not safe at all !

@ediz1975 Common sense says that if you are a cyclist you should slow down through these. However too many cyclists in London don’t have any common sense

is that not a zebra crossing for pedestrians? there needs to be a police officer standing there and fining every single one of those idiots ringing their bell to force people out the way, Pedestrians have right of way over bike!

There is a pedestrian crossing. The law now states that if a pedestrian is waiting to cross you just stop and give way. Not one cyclist stopped! I agree they are extremely dangerous for all especially people with slight problems.

So we’ve gone from cyclists not feeling safe on the road to pedestrians not feeling safe on the pavement. This isn’t progress.

a car driver, as must cyclists stop at a zebra crossing and give way for waiting pedestrians, another example of cyclists doing as they please

These are the same knob ends who will record a driver on a phone while stationary and send the video to the police. Hypocrites. The law should require them to stop just as a car does at a crossing.

This is a problem with people not bike lanes. If there wasn't a bike lane they would just ride on the pavement. The vast majority of cyclists behave responsibly around bus stop islands and it keeps cyclists from having dangerous conflicts with the bus.

Sorry they do not, the majority of cyclists go through taking priority and many at speed. Routing cycling tracks through the pavement does not work at bus stops. Blind people are being excluded from using the bus and this has to stop.
