Today, in my capacity as the President of NANS, I led all the structures of NANS, including sister unions, NAUS, NAPS, NANCES and NFSAN to the Community High school, Ahoro-Esiele, and Yawato community in Orire Local Government area of Oyo state, where we visited the scenes where our students and teachers were abducted. Going forward, we met with the King, some of the families of the victims, and parents in the communities of Ahoro-Esiele and Yawato communities. Furthermore, we assured them of our solidarity and support for them in this time of trouble and grief. Subsequently, we assured them that we are constantly calling on the government to ensure the immediate rescue and safe return of the abducted students and teachers. Conclusively, I assured all Nigerian Students that as far as I remain their President, I will continue to protect their interest. The Chief Minister has constituted the committee; K. Raju has set it up, and we have opened the door for dialogue. Talks will take place; we will listen to your demands, and if they are reasonable, we will certainly accept them. A golden opportunity has been provided for the students. #WATCH | Delhi: Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav says, "Students have been beaten. Today will be remembered as a black day for democracy and for our history. Even you could see the shame in the eyes of some police personnel. Yet, in the line of duty, they removed their name badges and stepped forward. Some police officers behaved like goons. While some were cooperative, others arrived out of uniform and beat the students, even subjecting them to electric shocks. Contrary to the rule that force should be applied only to the legs, they struck students on their chests. Today, they have dealt a direct blow to the very heart of Mother India. We demand the removal of the Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. The government must accept responsibility and demonstrate accountability. Is this your "New India," where the clothes of daughters are torn? We met many students whose clothes had been torn. It is truly unfortunate. Perhaps never in India's history has there been a government so arrogant, ruthless, and callous, wielding batons against unarmed students. I salute all those who showed such determination and came here with deep conviction to voice their concerns. They travelled from far and wide to protest, and they did so peacefully. These people (the government) do not want the country to be governed according to the Constitution; they want to govern it according to RSS ideology. We are heading to Parliament now. We will raise this issue forcefully in the House, and after that, we will try to return to Jantar Mantar"

We are in communication with them, and the entire NDRF team has arrived. I have spoken to the Chief Minister, and other teams are also on their way to assist the students. There are no reports of casualties yet. All the students are being taken to the hospital; there were about 15-20 students involved, and 10 have been rescued. #WATCH | JPSC-JSSC aspirants' protest in Ranchi (Jharkhand) | Student leader Piyush Kumar says, "We are in a wait and watch situation. We are still waiting for the Govt to strike a dialogue with us, they will decide the date and time. We have not received any official intimation regarding the same...Everyone is welcome to extend their moral support, we are accepting only moral support. Ours is a student platform. All parties, who want to extend moral support, are welcome. Our stand is clear from day 1 that our platform will continue to be a students' platform. We have nothing to do with any political party. We want only moral support. We will not let our stage turn imto a political akhara." On speaking with Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, he says, "We are positive about this.
