Not incapacitation, the cockpit crew of a Beech King Air 200 aircraft (N479BR) elected mid-air to operate their aircraft to a safe landing in Colorado using the Garmin Autoland system after a pressurization failure. The pilots used oxygen masks and let the Autoland system take over as they remained alert for the entire episode and did not require any medical treatment after the autonomous landing, as per Buffalo River Aviation. " In this case, the crew consciously elected to preserve and use all available tools and minimize additional variables in an unpredictable, emergent situation, prioritizing life and a safe outcome over all other factors, as they are trained to do" The Visuals here shows the North Metro Fire attending the aircraft that stopped on the Runway after executing an Emergency Autolanding on Runway 30R at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport. Runway 09 into London City ✈️ Definitely one of the most unique approaches in commercial aviation. Instead of the standard 3 degree glide path, London City requires a 5.5 degree steep approach straight into the middle of the city, bringing you incredibly low over the buildings during final approach!!✈️ On the Embraer we use a dedicated steep approach mode specifically designed for London City operations. Once activated, the aircraft deploys the spoilers in flight to help maintain the steeper descent profile. It’s a mode we only use for LCY operations, which makes every approach into this airport feel special in its own way. Combined with the short runway, surrounding buildings and often tricky weather conditions, London City landings are captain-only operations. During this approach I’m acting as Pilot Monitoring while the captain flies the aircraft and performs the landing. An E145 Jet made a bad landing yesterday which lead to the destruction of the plane, everyone got off safely, but a passenger posted video showing the landing and evacuation. Must take some resolve to just keep recording as the plane is scraping along the runway on fire. Looks like the plane touched down short of the runway, a situation that was likely incompatible with keeping the landing gear attached.

83 years ago, the US military built a runway on a Dutch Caribbean island that accidentally created the world's most dangerous tourist attraction. In 1942, searching for a flat strip of land on the mountainous island of St. Maarten, engineers were forced to squeeze a runway between a lagoon and the ocean. The result was Runway 10, which begins just 30 meters from the edge of the water. Because the runway is so short (only 2,300 meters), pilots must approach at an incredibly low altitude to maximize the braking distance. This created the phenomenon of "Plane Spotting" at Maho Beach, where tourists can stand directly under the wheels of a landing Boeing 747, which clears their heads by less than 100 feet. However, the real fame (and danger) comes from the departures. To take off over the steep mountains on the other side of the island, pilots must rev their engines to full throttle while holding the brakes before release. This created the "Fence Surfing" tradition, where thrill-seekers cling to the chain-link fence to resist the 100 mph jet blast.
