We asked about Ansem 🐂🀄️'s take on rollups being the ideal infra for building specialized apps. "Arbitrum can roll back on anything." "The final state check that your transaction settled is when Ethereum reaches consensus on a block." "Any rollup giving you fast confirmation is actually an illusion." "With... show more

@blknoiz06 @arbitrum The post in reference which started this discussion:

We have spent the last 2 years diving deep into the technical weeds of blockchain design & earned the respect of the technical community. The above clip is part of a discussion about execution vs. consensus as the main bottleneck. There is more nuance in the full segment, which we'd recommend watching (link below). Regardless, we value our role to be a reliable source of education and consistent, correct explanation of deeply technical subjects. We understand the frustration from the community about this short vidoe, and will continue to focus on delivering correct info going forward. Much love.

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum Why was a podcast called The Rollup not able or willing to push back against an incorrect understanding about how finality works in rollups? And why is that podcast now spreading that incorrect understanding on twitter?

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum Bad reporting. Unfollowed.

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum thats not accurate tho @_JonahB_ as a trader on an optimistic hyperliquid, you only need to wait for ethereum DA to be finalised to have full confirmation--not 7days maybe I missed some context

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum seriously so bad. how can you post takes like this?

Hmm, I think we often confuse ordering finality and settlement. In any rollup, ordering finality happens when data is publicly accessible, and the system it is being sent to is in a final state. For optimistic rollups on Ethereum DA, it's transaction time + 2 to 4 minutes to send ordering to the DA and then 12 minutes of DA finalization. For zk-rollups, they often take different trade-offs and don't always post this ordering—so finality can, in fact, be more extended until they share their output proof.

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum how do people who objectively have no idea what they are talking about get airtime again?

@_JonahB_ @blknoiz06 @arbitrum I'm pretty sure this isn't how it works.

I added a new tattoo: "Ansem To 1 Billion" I did this because I truly believe $ANSEM can go to $1B. But this is bigger than just a ticker. I admire Ansem 🐂🀄️ because he actually cares about the Solana community. He came back to Solana, created energy again, and kept asking the question a lot of people in the trenches have been waiting for: when Pump.fun airdrop? I’ll be honest. I’m not even a $ANSEM holder right now. I lost a lot of money in the pumpfun trenches before Ansem 🐂🀄️ came back. When he created the runner, I had no money left to participate. That hurts, but this is not me begging or asking for pity. This tattoo is my way of showing belief, respect, and support for what Ansem 🐂🀄️ is doing. Because many of us are still waiting. Pumpfun once gave hope to the community about an airdrop, but until now there is still no clear news. A lot of real users spent money, traded, lost, tried again, and helped build the entire ecosystem from the trenches. I hope more CT and KOLs become like Ansem 🐂🀄️ ,people who actually care about the #Solana community, not only when the market is hot. $ANSEM, you are a real GOAT. Keep going with your mission. The community is here. Send $ANSEM to 1 Billion. And if there is any small blessing for me, I would be grateful: 2NiaLvo8H3qA7qxiPQL3qZJMGeZsPRdWfKhTnwtYm6kn
