Oooh gorgeous work. Are those just rubber grip tips or sensors? And is there a wrist here or no wrist and no need bc you're targeting arm mounted hands for reasonably-open-desk work envs not "reach into the hole" fully general hands problem?

Ya exactly, no wrist necessary here since the robot arm can place the hand arbitrarily. A wrist helps with access when you're tied to a human torso / arm morphology like humanoid robots but once you let go of that constraint it's a lot less necessary.

I would love that too! If we can find a specific compelling business case for it I'm all for it.

Could your robot hand screw together / assemble ikea furniture?

It's getting there:

Why are we adapting robots to work in human spaces? Makes no sense. This could be a fully enclosed line process execution. The end goal is not doing the lab test and getting a result...its to show that humans are worthless and to kill our spirit. Have them nurse a baby next?

If that made sense to do why hasn't it been done already? Fully enclosed mass production lines are not new but there are many reasons why there are still so many human techs out there in the world 🧐

UNBELIEVABLE. soon lab technicians will be replaced by robots , it will become harder and harder to compete with the robots as normal people...

Might save the need to import cheap h1-B phds from foreign countries, paid $35k a year in NYC at Columbia, and displace Americans.

the hand is cool but what's the overall point of design; like.... you could just have AI design valving or stuff like that for sample prep automation and have a human just step in at the last second for putting it an incubator/fridge. It's slower because it's a hand.

@Innov_Medicine If this is real and not AI this is amazing. It’s even better because the robot hand can be fully sterilised unlike a human hand — which is not as good even if it’s under a UV hood.

If you need the system to be more deterministic reach out as I have a Geometric deterministic stack that beats out 2d pixel stacks.

Great work! Maybe one of these would encourage us to take our cobot out of storage. I always thought the cobot concept was weak because of the end of arm tooling we have today: limited dexterity and the resulting extra safety requirements they impose.

Make one that folds laundry, that's what people want.
