Rigathi Gachagua’s willingness to attend Raila Odinga’s burial is a reminder that even in the darkest moments of grief, unity must prevail over vengeance. Raila Odinga’s life was never defined by hatred — it was defined by forgiveness, resilience, and an unshakable belief that Kenya can heal, no matter how deep the wounds run. In Kasarani he forgave Moi, the man whose regime denied him peace. He embraced Kibaki, the president whose government humiliated him. He shook hands with Uhuru Kenyatta, the rival who once called him an enemy. And even with William Ruto whose regime detained his followers and watched them bleed Raila still believed in dialogue over destruction. Right from when Baba Raila Odinga was alive Sifuna was speaking the same language he's speaking even when we lost our hero and legend. This was the true position of the ODM Party. Baba sat there and listened to Sifuna speak and whenever he stood up, he affirmed that, that was the position of the party and as communicated by the spokesperson of the party! Nothing can change this. Kenyans returned the favour to Omwami for his constituency!
