We can really just do things now. Like... build a custom engine from scratch with the new Goose programming language that was released two days earlier. And then load entire Skyrim in it. Ten days in so far.

this is the one I mentioned. Claude is teaching me the language now😅I didn't think I'd get excited about a new programming language again the way things are going, but here we are! So far I love everything about it.

this is all pretty amazing. using computers has never been so much fun Zen. :)

That is wild man. Happy to see you showing off your mad skills again.

🤯🤯

How did you load it? has it been decomped?

I think i remember you from the Flash days.

How did you do this? Was it more of a research journey or more of a "...and make no mistakes journey?" ? Genuine question. Either or a combination of the two are equally valid answers Really really cool and inspiring to see

Ten days to load all of Skyrim in an engine you built is awesome. Really fun to see Goose used like that.

Appart from game developer are you a gamer too?

Let's see an actual product that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and gets 0 players.

how are you finding working w Claude vs other models?

Are the graphics improved?

You mean the assets? It's using a couple large PBR texture packs, the rest is still vanilla assets. I want to integrate more community mods over time.

Yeah the overall feeling felt improved from the video!

@grok goose engine?

What’s implemented beyond loading the world so far—collision, scripting, or save state? That would help distinguish the renderer milestone from game compatibility.

So far my focus has just been on the renderer. Only the basics to test things visually, like simple collision and NPC behaviors.

walking up to whiterun's gate in a ten day old engine is nuts. we're building our own engine with claude too so this one hits home. what's been the hardest part so far, reading the file formats or getting it to render right?

Any more info about goose language?

.... im impressed.
