Ukraine must be given more weapons without restrictions. The longer this takes, the more bloody the war becomes. Russia will not stop. People must call their elected officials and vote. Trump has been disingenuous towards a lasting peace. A vote for Trump is a vote for Putin!

Today, I signed a decree introducing a sanctions package against Russian and other individuals and entities supporting Russia’s military system. These include developers, manufacturers, and suppliers of drones for the occupiers, individuals assisting in importing critical components into Russia, as well as those training drone operators. In total, more than a hundred entities and individuals. We are actively working with our partners to synchronize these sanctions with their respective measures. It is crucial that all our partners continue to intensify sanctions pressure on Russia. Without foreign components and without schemes to bypass sanctions, Russia cannot sustain its terror campaign. Every “Shahed” drone and every Russian missile contains dozens of foreign components. That is why it is essential for our sanctions pressure to work hand in hand with the global effort.

And it is important for all of us to remember the price at which our freedom is won. To honor all those who fought and continue to fight for Ukraine. I am grateful to Canada for its new package of sanctions against more than 160 entities linked to Russia’s shadow fleet. Today, during our meeting with Mark Carney, we discussed strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia. And it is important that such decisions are being made. We also discussed formats of defense cooperation, Canada’s participation in financing the production of Ukrainian drones under the Danish model, and cooperation in the energy sector. Importantly, Canada will continue to provide Ukraine with energy support and assistance in recovery. I thank Mark for his strong position during the G7–Ukraine meeting and for all the support for our people. We truly have strong allies and the Prime Minister’s significant personal engagement in supporting Ukraine. And this is highly valuable.

This is a difficult task, but our warriors are completing it step by step. Everyone sees it. The main argument in international communication is what one is worthy of and capable of enduring and overcoming. The world pays attention to those who are resilient and brave. That is why Putin must face conditions that make it impossible for him to continue this war. We are creating those conditions through our long-range strikes on Russian military and oil facilities. Our medium-range sanctions are also having an effect. They make it harder for Russia to occupy our territory and our lives. And we are doing everything we can to make the occupation unbearable for the occupier. I want to thank everyone who supports us and our efforts, and I urge you to continue this support through new European Union sanctions. These sanctions are needed against Russia's shadow fleet and against many of the tools Putin still relies on to keep this war going.

I'm grateful to Lindsey for recognizing our warriors. The stronger Ukraine is on the battlefield, the greater the chances that diplomacy will ultimately succeed. And right now, it is important that our long-range sanctions pressure on Russia be reinforced through new sanctions steps by our partners. Lindsey briefed me on the work underway in Congress on the relevant bill. We also discussed our urgent air defense needs to protect our people. During the NATO Summit in Ankara, President Trump and I reached political agreements on licensing the production of Patriots in Ukraine. It is now crucial to implement all of this at the team level. I thank the United States, the President, and Congress for bipartisan and consistent support from both chambers.

I thank everyone who is preserving and creating jobs in the region, everyone who is working for Ukraine and for the benefit of Ukraine. We will continue all government programs that have proven effective and that support our production and our economy. There is still more we can do to support our industry — I’ve instructed government officials to fulfill what the entrepreneurs have asked for today. Ukraine’s results are shared results — the achievements of all those who have chosen Ukraine, who are actively working for Ukraine, and who are ready to do whatever is necessary for our country to endure and achieve its goals.
