Each Russian missile used by these beasts against our country contains components made by companies in other countries, not Russia. A Kh-101 missile has at least 53 such components. There are also areas for collaboration with the U.S. Many agreements have been reached with France and Germany as well. We continue working on sanctions against Russia, targeting those who help finance its war against Ukraine. Today, I discussed this with the UK Foreign Secretary during his visit to Ukraine. It is crucial to keep pressuring Putin’s shadow tanker fleet, which moves oil around the world, funding Russian terror and war. The UK is one of the leaders in taking action against this fleet. But sanctions should go beyond just the tankers and companies involved—they must also target the captains of these vessels and all individuals connected to them. Ukraine has already taken such measures, and we are working to expand them across our partners’ jurisdictions.
