DO YOU SEE IT?! What do you notice about this massive dynamic pipe as the #tornado is planting. The RFD winds were greater than 100 mph at this moment. If we intercepted this #tornado near peak intensity, wind gusts to the speed of sound are possible in the strongest suction vortices. This tornado was rated EF3, but likely reached F5 intensity in that field before impacting the farmhouse #stormchasing #Dominator #Twisters

RAW video of the air cannon launch into EF5-strength suction vortex on May 20 this year. I have finally analyzed the live data from the probe, which shows an ~80 mb drop from the Dominator, outside of the tornado, to the core of the tornado. A second dramatic dip in pressure is attributed purely to vertical velocity as the parachute probe lofts upward through the #tornado. I am working to estimate the height of the probe from our 2-3 camera angles, since the GPS failed. We are still working to recover this parachute probe!

Check out the incredible hook-shaped trench from the violent suction vortex that slammed the Dominator 3. It almost appears as if the launch/Dominator barrier/gap in the terrain intensified the vortex on approach to the vehicle. The vortex hit the front of the vehicle with the anemometer in back measuring 132 mph northerlies. The suction vortex was moving at 62 mph, with 124 mph of shear from the back to the front of the Dominator 3 causing it to spin while in park. Here is my encounter with the Seymour, TX tornado and beast supercell as captured from my Insta360 X4. Note the tornado cyclone and occlusion at the 3-4 second mark. We then escape the 100 mph inflow winds to see the structure of this beast from outside of the rain. What a powerful storm that we tracked down using the RadarOmega Omega app while live streaming.

Watch this historic rocket launch into a monster EF4 #tornado by the Team Dominator science team! This marked the first ever recording of wind and thermodynamics in 3D inside of a #tornado. We launched the rocket in perfect position within the inflow notch of this rain-wrapped wedge tornado near Lawrence, Kansas, and tracked the parachute probe as it was carried through the #tornado. ChasinSpin is the scientist behind the sensors and live streaming technology that achieved success with this first launch. We recovered the sensor the next day using Facebook, with Matt DuBois and Jeremy Belk finding the probe in the front yard of a church in Leavenworth, over 30 miles away from the launch site. CurtisBrooks the rocket man broke his ankle with a Dominator 3 door slam the day before this launch, after designing the rockets and the rocket launcher.
