Today marks a pivotal moment for Isomorphic Labs. We have secured $2.1 Billion in our second external funding round, led by Thrive Capital. They are joined at the table by Alphabet, GV and new investors MGX, Temasek, CapitalG and the UK Sovereign AI Fund. This milestone accelerates our ability to build the pioneering novel AI models that power our AI drug design engine (IsoDDE) and deploy them at scale: delivering scientific breakthroughs with a precision previously thought impossible, accelerating and expanding our pipeline of therapeutic programs toward the clinic. All with the ultimate goal of delivering life-changing new medicines to patients. Moving forward, we will scale our drug candidate pipelines across multiple therapeutic areas, expand our global footprint, and push the boundaries of frontier AI research to power our drug design engine. Can Claude Code design proteins? We're just about to release our wet lab API + SDK so we made a quick demo to test how agents can interact with protein design models and submit the proteins to our lab for testing. This closes the loop between the computational design and the experiment validation We queued up a bunch of agent-designed proteins for wet lab validation, will release the results in a couple weeks on Proteinbase

Boltz-2 was released recently. It is an Open Source protein-ligand co-folding model, which means it can predict the structure of a protein along with the ligand. It has various applications from drug discovery to protein design. I thought why not make a OSS web app for it.

Our 2026 Design in AI Report is now live! This report is the culmination of thousands of people hours and many late nights to create what we believe is the most comprehensive, well-researched report capturing and synthesizing the state of Design + AI today. While we used AI in many areas, a report like this still required deep thinking, grit, and humans coming together to do what they do best. The final report spans nearly 20k words covering the survey results of over 900 people paired with dozens of qualitative interviews. Over the coming months we will also release 7 beautiful case studies showing how top design teams are working on the ground featuring designers at Anthropic, Framer, Linear, Notion, Shopify, Sierra, and Stripe. This work is a true labor of love to help guide a design community we hold so dear. Link in the comments and please let us know what you think. Your feedback helps us shape how we will evolve this work over the coming years...
