Right now, college athletics is the Wild West. We are at real risk of college sports being dominated by a few super programs while smaller programs and non-revenue generating sports face extinction. That would devastate thousands of student-athletes who have used sports to get a college education and build their futures. College sports are an incredible cultural unifier. As the incoming Chairman of Senate Commerce Republicans, I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to protect student athletes' rights and preserve what's so special about college athletics.
