We should not concede the narrative that data centers are causing rising electricity prices. The real cause is anti-fossil-fuel policies and bad permitting policies. The admin has reversed some anti-fossil-fuel policies. Now it needs to cut a major permitting reform deal—soon!

They have not been managed historically. This has nothing to do with changes in fire suppression or raking or any of these other things that Trump and these other comedians are talking about. It's because it's hotter and it's drier and it's hotter and it's drier because we've warmed up the planet with fossil fuel burning and carbon pollution. And they don't want us to pay attention to that. That's why we have these antics. They want the story to be ridiculous. The more we're talking about that, the less we're talking about the true culprit, which is climate change, fossil fuel burning. And we have an administration whose environmental policies and energy policies are literally being written by the fossil fuel industry. So why would we expect anything different.

Last week, Kamala Harris spent the first half of the debate reminding all of us just how much she loves fracking and fossil fuel extraction. In fact, the Biden-Harris administration HAS set historic records for fossil fuel extraction, while boasting that they passed the largest climate bill in history. Harris rightly attacks Donald J. Trump for believing that climate change is a hoax, yet she continues to pursue the policies that are making it worse. What else can we say but "What the frack?" We deserve better. Our survival demands that we make better choices at the ballot box:
