We think Mayor Brandon Johnson should do something about the CFD Station at 12701 South Doty. It houses Engine 80, Truck 61, and Amb. 51. The conditions are utterly deplorable. According to our source, the station floods when it rains, but it isn't merely groundwater; it's sewage backup. Despite...

I am compelled to share a deeply concerning experience that occurred to me on Monday, 12/04/2026 at around 12:03 which poses a serious risk not only to motorists but to public safety at large. After filling up my vehicle with a full tank of fuel at Oasis Filling Station along Kamloops Road in Kalingalinga, Lusaka, my vehicle stalled barely 1.9 km from the station while driving on the highway (Nangwenya Road). The engine completely shut down and could not restart. Initially, I suspected a battery issue and spent nearly two hours attempting multiple jump-starts, all to no avail. I then contacted my mechanic, who advised that the vehicle be towed back home for proper inspection. Upon draining the fuel system, we discovered a shocking issue: the fuel contained a significant amount of watery liquid (see pictures attached to this post) Visually and physically, it resembled water contamination. This immediately raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of fuel being dispensed at the station. I returned to the filling station and reported the issue to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, she appeared to have limited authority and could not provide immediate assistance or resolution without consulting her superiors. Regrettably, this engagement yielded no meaningful response. Even more concerning, Oasis Filling Station management has proven to be difficult, and non-compliant in resolving the issue affecting my vehicle, despite clear evidence and multiple affected customers on site. worse off, five other motorists were present at the station reporting similar incidents—vehicles breaking down shortly after refueling from the same location. As it stands, my vehicle is currently immobilized, and I am likely facing costly repairs due to what appears to be contaminated fuel. Sadly, This situation is not just an inconvenience—it is a serious safety hazard. Like in my case, a vehicle stalling unexpectedly on the highway put our lives at risk which could have easily resulted in accidents or fatalities. As it stands, I personally strongly urge: - Fellow motorists to exercise extreme caution when refueling in this area. - The relevant authorities, including the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) and consumer protection bodies, to immediately investigate this matter. - Oasis Filling Station management to take accountability and urgently address the issue to prevent further damage and harm (though they're proving to be not compliant as I speak right now). Unfortunately, this incident highlights the critical importance of fuel quality assurance, regulatory enforcement, and consumer protection in Zambia. #PublicSafety #FuelContamination #Lusaka #ConsumerProtection #ERB #RoadSafety #Accountability

Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Because we have forgotten that this violence is still possible if we are not honest, vigilant and decisive. If people who live in Europe are capable of this horrible attacks, it says a lot about how europe failed to impose its values even on its own soil. And there are still people who will think speaking of hatred against jewish people is an exaggeration. It is not. This is the week of the Kristallnacht commemorations. October 7 was until now the Kristallnacht of our time. November 7 must be the last one. Assita Kanko

A Taiwanese reporter interviewed the PCES PC brand (the skirt Lisa wore during the Taiwan concert) about how they felt. One of the team members was so happy, they threw up! The brand showed great respect for Lisa, they won't sell the skirt but will put it in a frame for display. It's the brand's great pride, after all. “…. and the clothing brands they wore are still trending, just like the miniskirt Lisa wore from the Taiwanese brand PCES during the concert….” About 10 days before the concert started, we opened an email, and the subject line was written in large letters: BLACKPINK wants to borrow our clothing. At that time, we were stunned and frozen. We read the email twice and then showed it to our team. I was sitting on the floor working at the time, and they ran in and said, "Something huge has happened!" At that moment, the BP stylist asked us to provide more brand details and also check if we had other styles of clothing. This skirt is our newest, unreleased design….. About 15 minutes before the concert started, we were watching the time and then one of us exclaimed, "The concert is about to begin!" (Did you cry because you were so happy?) No, but one of our team members was so happy they threw up! 😂😂😂 It was a moment he had waited for for a long time; he was extremely excited. Q: (Did he really throw up?) - Yes, a little bit. We feel Lisa looked incredibly beautiful wearing it. Thank you so much, Lisa. Thank you to the BP team for paying attention to the details and choosing our brand—a genuine Taiwanese brand. Because this skirt hasn't been produced and put on sale yet, the one Lisa wore is the only sample piece in existence. Yesterday, the staff sent the item back. When we received it, we slowly opened it with care and took turns looking at it one by one. Q: (Can you tell us Lisa's waist size?) - Uh, the back of the skirt is adjustable in size. When we got the skirt back, it had been adjusted to be very small. We could see that Lisa adjusted it to a very small size. We think her waist might be 24 [inches], much smaller than the mannequin. (Fans must be asking if the skirt Lisa wore can be purchased/resold?) We probably won't sell it. It wouldn't be appropriate to sell it. It's something of sentimental value for our brand. We are going to buy a frame to keep it in and put it out on display. (It will become a precious treasure of the brand.) LLOUD #LISA

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtron

I don’t care if she’s a Republican or not; I’m fed up with the behavior of these spoiled and entitled politicians. Let her lease her own plane and pay for security instead of expecting tax payers to treat her like an elitist. 😡 Charleston County Aviation Authority police officers filed an incident report in connection with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on Thursday after she allegedly went off on law enforcement in a profanity-ridden tirade at Charleston International Airport in South Carolina. Police were to meet with Mace at 6:30 a.m. EDT to escort her from the curb to her flight, according to a police report. Officers were told she would arrive in a white BMW, but they were told at 6:35 a.m. that she would be arriving late. While they never saw the car, dispatchers told the officers before 7 a.m. that she was at the entrance for the Known Crewmember program, the report stated. The officers approached her, “and she immediately began loudly cursing and making derogatory comments to us and about the department,” according to the report. “She repeatedly stated we were ‘F‑‑‑ing incompetent,’ and ‘this is no way to treat a f‑‑‑ing U.S. Representative,’” the report read. “She also said we would never treat [Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.)] like this.” She was allegedly “cursing and complaining,” as well as yelling into her phone, during the walk to the gate, police wrote. This continued while waiting at the gate for several minutes before she boarded her flight. “After the aircraft departed the gate, the American Airlines Gate Agent approached us and stated he was in disbelief regarding her behavior,” according to the report. “He implied that a U.S. Representative should not be acting the way she was.” The officer who wrote the report said they reviewed the video of the curb where she was expected to arrive and did not see a white BMW arrive at the expected time. A gray or silver BMW appeared at 6:51 a.m. at the atrium crosswalk, the officer wrote. Additionally, a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) supervisor told officers that he was “very upset” about how Mace acted at the checkpoint, police wrote in the the report. The supervisor told them that Mace spoke with several TSA agents and they would file a report “about her unacceptable behavior” to their superiors. Any other person in the airport acting and talking the way she did, our department would have been [dispatched] and we would have addressed the behavior,” the report concludes. “Apparently, simply arriving at an airport now makes headlines if you’re leading the race for governor,” Mace’s director of operations Cameron Morabito said in a short statement. “We are forced to take the Congresswoman’s safety extremely seriously. After the world watched Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the threats against her have only intensified. Our security procedures are based solely on legitimate safety concerns, and any attempt to politicize this reality is both dangerous and reckless.”

Officially moving on from Tech game after I get this thought off my chest. I more than welcome anyone smarter than me in regards to the football to chime in. I truly, truly, truly cannot wrap my head around the thought process here. These two plays I'm sure anyone with brain can agree officially sealed KU's slim chances in having a chance to win this game. The play calling to me seems like completely flipped in logic at best? First one, you are down 4, on your own 30 so you are not going to go for this. Ignoring that we were getting dominated in the trenches in this game and that the 'obvious' play is a run, I don't get why we make the decision in a must get spot to take the ball out of our QB's (who at the time was rolling) hands. Jalon Daniels is our best player. In an absolute must get/need, we should be relying on him to make a play. Then the second one. I obviously don't know the answer here, but I feel somewhat confident that the reason we didn't run here was because of how the earlier 3rd & 1 run went. While I don't necessarily agree with the premise of decision making on this alone, I can appreciate the recognition that we are going to struggle to gain a yard in an obvious run situation. But the thing is, we are in go for it range so the one thing you absolutely cannot have is a massive negative play. Literally anything else is okay (obviously not a turnover). I truly don't think there's a good chance we run the ball on this attempt and get a yard. But THIS situation gives you a free shot at it if you want to take it. I think this play call would have worked if we didn't let their best player run at our qb freely but I'd just argue this play had a ton of potential risk that wasn't necessary. Hell even a play action pass out of out shot gun or something rolling JD out to the left would have given us a good shot at first down with an escape route to bail out on the play if something went wrong. I'm once again for the millionth time saying I know and understand that this entire staff knows more about football in their pinky than I do. But I do think the game has evolved and game + clock management doesn't really require football knowledge/have a direct correlation to one's football knowledge. It's not as simple as ESPN's graphic says GO so you should go etc, there are variables and human behavior etc to deal with and I understand that. But we are just getting these situations downright wrong. We are flipping a coin that has a 20 pound weight attached to the heads side and calling tails almost every single time. S/O anyone who read all this but would just love some insight if there's anyone who disagrees and is a lot smarter than I!
