Despite completing their internships, the APMC registrar is still refusing to issue permanent registration, even after the NMC has served a notice to APMC. So this video is spreading on social media. I won’t blame her, But I just want to tell the public out there that we don’t OWN the hospital. Beds, facilities etc., are provided by the government, not by doctors. So whether it’s 1 patient per bed or 3 patients per bed, we doctors just want to treat you all. That’s it. That's why we admit you. Even if we deny admission, doctors will still be labeled as cruel. Safdarjung rarely refers patients to other hospitals (only for specific treatments not available here). Don’t blame doctors for bed occupancy or availability. Also, no doctor says, “Humein upar se order hai” (orders from whom?) We admit patients even when we don’t have beds because we genuinely want to treat them. This means that a doctor who has even scored minus 40 marks in MBBS will face no objection or restriction in pursuing a specialist degree in postgraduate studies.
