I made a custom node group so you can have the burn marks on any material by just plugging color and roughness outputs.

Quick test. I added a control for the metallic, color and roughness of the weld material so we can use it on painted metals too:

They look great but a proper welder would call those ugly welds. There's a value to make them more homogeneous?

Yes, there's a parameter to control the difference in scale. You can make them all the same size or add just a little difference

Welding engineer here. Looks amazing for stylized artwork. Worth exploring "multi bead welds" for heavy industry constructions though. More state-of-the-art welding joints like here:
