I managed to align the tiles by creating a 3d grid and make panels snap to the closest point in local space with a few tweaks. Here is before and after

With the velocity attribute fed into shader nodes it is possible to make the effect boost up where there is more movement happening and fade it where there is not much. This getting fun! #b3d #geometrynodes
