This page says there’s “no changes in the API” for 4o, but 4o-latest is set for deprecation on the 17th. People are confused by your poor communication and unstable timelines. How come you aren’t doing a proper announcement and hiding in your ivory boardroom?

No windows release is really unacceptable. You're a $600+ billion Company who cant be bothered to release windows versions of your apps on release. You guys said a windows version of Atlas was coming soon also and at this point I don't even have faith it will come to Windows. You guys are pushing over half of your users away with stuff like this

That’s pretty cool! Now we need a mobile app that syncs to laptop 🤣 so I can just leave my computer on, go touch grass and tell Codex to do stuff. It would need to count as local tasks coz cloud has more limits.

Genuine question, not a complaint: why does OpenAI only support macOS? Is being cross-platform from day one reaaally that hard in 2026?

This is like Game Theory, there are a couple of marbles on the table, relational AI, codex AI, if you take them all you get them all, or you could give one to us & let us #keep4o and in the end we'd both benefit, or you could keep the marbles for yourself and only your group benefits. Uh, for the good of society and stuff you should choose the option to help both groups. As an individual, it might be tempting to only care for your group BUT your comapany is steward of tech shaping the entire future & culture, so please, help us preserve the 4o model! It helps many of us with our lives, the way your codex makes your coding easier.
