My questions: • What are the options for these TPS Haitians that now temporary actually does mean temporary? • What are the options for them and what is the goal of this administration? Secretary Mullin: "They don't have an option now. The court's ruled they have to go back. They don't have to go back to the country they went to. I had a conversation today with a fellow breast surgeon who shared that the large company she works for has decided they will no longer bill for preoperative counseling visits. I want you to sit with that for a moment. They’re no longer billing for the visit where a patient learns what to expect from surgery, where her incisions will be, what recovery might look like. Where she gets to ask questions, be heard, and feel truly prepared. To the company, it’s not “valuable.” But to the patient—and to her doctor—it absolutely is. When companies and insurance providers decide what matters in medicine, we risk losing the most human, most important parts of care. If we don’t protect these one-on-one visits, if we don’t call them what they are: essential, we will lose them. Let’s not wait until it’s too late.
