The “six million Jews ⭐️” figure did not suddenly appear after the Holocaust. Newspaper reports were using the figure years before Nazi Germany came to power. In 1913, references were already being made to approximately six million Jews in Russia and claims that they were facing persecution. During 🪖World War I, newspapers again described six million Jews as being persecuted, starving, displaced or in danger. The New York Sun ☀️ reported in June 1915 that six million Jews ⭐️—described as roughly half of the world’s Jewish population—were suffering under Russian persecution. BBC talks about Holocaust Remembrance Day today but can't seem to remember what group the "6 million people" were... I guess "No Jews No News" doesn't apply when Jews are the ones being killed. Yes, other groups were killed in the Holocaust, but this specific number of 6 million, were Jews. The Holocaust was a genocide of Jews. If you can’t say that, what kind of journalist are you?
