Today there was a Russian strike on an energy facility in Kharkiv: hundreds of thousands of people were left without electricity and heating. I informed Mark about these attacks and about our needs for protection and bolstering our air defense. The PURL initiative is helping us a lot in this regard, and we are counting on an increase in contributions this month. We also discussed our diplomatic work in detail, as well as our contacts with partners in the United States and Europe. We exchanged views on what the next steps should be. We have already achieved significant progress, and it is now important not to slow down. Ukraine has never been – and will never be – an obstacle to achieving peace. Thank you for your support!

We have not properly communicated what we do. I have no interest in causing an environmental disaster on my legacy. That’s never going to happen. We will bring plans out for a one gig facility and show what the heat profile looks like, the light, the noise, the water, all of it. When we build this, you can come and kick the tires and extrapolate from this. We need to become more ingrained with the community and I think that is going to be incorporated into all projects. Here's how Elon Musk found out Bill Gates has no basic physics. Gates showed up at Tesla Austin certain a long-range Semi could never work. Energy density? Efficiency? He didn't have a single number. Elon Musk: "You’d think that someone like Bill Gates, who clearly started a technology company that’s one of the biggest companies in the world—Microsoft—you’d think he’d be really quite strong in the sciences. But actually, at least from my direct conversations with him, he is not strong in the sciences. This was really surprising. He came to visit me at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin and was telling me that it’s impossible to have a long-range semi-truck. And I was like, “Well, but we literally have them. And you can drive them. And Pepsi is literally using them right now. And you can drive them yourself or send someone. Obviously, Bill Gates is not going to drive it himself, but you can send a trusted person to drive the truck and verify that it can do the things that we say it’s doing.” And he’s like, “No, no, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work.” And I’m like, “Okay.” I’m kind of stuck there. Then I was like, “Well, so it must be that you disagree with the watt-hours per kilogram of the battery pack. You must think that perhaps we can’t achieve the energy density of the battery pack, or that the watt-hours per mile of the truck is too high, and that when you combine those two numbers, the range is low. “And so, which one of those numbers do you think we have wrong, and what numbers do you think are correct?” And he didn’t know any of the numbers. And I’m like, “Well then, doesn’t it seem that it’s perhaps premature to conclude that a long-range semi cannot work if you do not know the energy density of the battery pack or the energy efficiency of the truck chassis?”

Obviously, Bill Gates is not going to drive it himself, but you can send a trusted person to drive the truck and verify that it can do the things that we say it’s doing.” And he’s like, “No, no, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t work.” And I’m like, “Okay.” I’m kind of stuck there. Then I was like, “Well, so it must be that you disagree with the watt-hours per kilogram of the battery pack. You must think that perhaps we can’t achieve the energy density of the battery pack, or that the watt-hours per mile of the truck is too high, and that when you combine those two numbers, the range is low. “And so, which one of those numbers do you think we have wrong, and what numbers do you think are correct?” And he didn’t know any of the numbers. And I’m like, “Well then, doesn’t it seem that it’s perhaps premature to conclude that a long-range semi cannot work if you do not know the energy density of the battery pack or the energy efficiency of the truck chassis?”

2 firefighters were injured last week in Germany, and a motorway closed for several hours following a fire at a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) facility. The fire continued for around 10 hours, forcing the closure of the nearby A31 motorway due to heavy fire gasses (smoke), and also impacted many local residents. Unfortunately early reports indicate the injuries may have been preventable and were caused when firefighters opened the door to the BESS, remember when we see what we believe to be fire gasses at these facilities, there’s a high likelihood it’s actually a vapour cloud, the vapour cloud will be highly toxic, highly flammable and also highly explosive. Opening doors on these facilities not only exposes us to significant heat and flames, it also has a high risk of a potential deflagration or vapour cloud ignition/explosion.
