If you marry someone whose salary is comparable to yours, why should he pay everything? That makes no sense.

Unfortunately, this is what’s going to happen with the wealth gap closing & the current economy… now women are making equal or more than men.. it’s going to force you to look a little deeper at the relationship and values.. men want to be with someone that’s not a bill … at the end of the day. It is all about negotiations and plans.. You can choose to be alone and wait for the millionaire guy or you can invest in a guy that you have amazing chemistry with that has plans for a happy family in the future with you, ideally you both won’t be struggling.. I know a lot of happy people without Lamborghinis and mansions.. trust me it will be OK

To each their own. Personally, I don’t understand halfsies. You can’t expect halfsies on the financials and then 100% on submission and a leadership role. 🤷🏽‍♀️

My dad & grandpa always took great pride in fully providing for his wife & children. I think everyone has different cultures, values, lifestyles & finances and people just need to find someone who agrees with their beliefs.

My parents share a bank account. They have been happily married since the 80s. They both work, that’s THEIR money. It’s not even about splitting things it’s about coming together to accomplish things as a unit.

I think people need to go outside and touch grass and quit getting their relationship advice off the internet. Most people don't even have a clue how much money it takes these days for a man to be the main or sole provider and what percentage of men makes that kind of money.

Even if I was rich, she's gonna pay some percentage, why? Because it will keep things aligned psychologically, and if we are truly in to each other and down for each other, it wouldn't be an issue.

My father told me to always make sure you pay for everything. I never looked at it this way, because I was never taught this, but he does make a good point. It’s just not a rule that I would follow maybe for a younger guy yes if it’s easier for both parties.
