Takes on an entirely different meaning after my Dad passed away. Its a beautiful film, and moments like are a very strong reason why.

The scene is the MOST integral one not just artistically, but culturally and spiritually in this film. After my Dad passed, it became crucial to me also. Remember who you are, is about honouring the ancestors, because they live through you. We are our ancestors. They us.
Empowering. I didn't realize this at the time, but this scene would help me with my own grief. Movie came out right after my Maternal Grandma died (I was 12 and I took her death VERY hard).
