I've never tried to have a WR in HS run a Post - Dig... I might have that as a combo route for 2 guys but never a combined route. I would be scared my QB might get killed in HS waiting for that to develop.

I like the language of post-dig because it helps to emphasize the nature of the speed cut Post Cut, Roll Horizontal on 2nd step

I don’t like the post dig. Takes too long to run.

Call it what you want all it is is a variation personally I call it a post dig. It’s all on timing, and whether you’re the 1st or last look in a QBs progression 🤷🏿‍♂️

That’s real. Why to long to develop, puts unnecessary stress on the oline

Ive seen The Chiefs and Bengals run them over the last few years. Especially Hill and Chase.

Can do it in HS but even then it’s gotta be a 5 step stem to the post, can’t be a 7 step. He’s right though at NFL level..12,15,18 yard digs straight to it

Actually, if you are a team or WR that runs a lot of digs; the post-dig can be used as a nice variation of the dig. Look at it as improvising your route. It can be run at 15 yards too. Burst vertical for 10, break to the post for 5, flat across at 15 yards.
